I can’t believe this film is almost 10 years old! Time flies I remember me and my buddies our early junior year of high school use to reference this movie a lot and my best friend and I use to watch this in computer class online. Damn so much great memories 😌

By far James Franco's best comedic performance in any film; he outshines Rogen with the laughs. The movie is a solid comedy - but I was most impressed with Franco - he played his character in this film perfectly - hilarious facial expressions, too. "You Honey-dickin'?!" "You don't like that brown sugar?"
Sony should just flood the Internet with this Movie, Put it out free, It is obvious it will be a major security issue in Cinemas so just make it available here on the net! .. It looks awesome and i need to see this movie!! Put your handbags back over your shoulders NK.

You ever saw the last dictator brother? Hitler banned it in Germany but said he was a fan of Chaplin.. Posting to the masses has always been a thing, Just took more effort, Cinemas in every town, + I don't class this as propaganda, Do you? Kazakestan got their panties in a twist over Borat as well but just threatened to execute him if he ever went there again! This does not damage NK in that country, So what is it that they are upset about? I think they have an immature spoiled little leader who needs to grow up and join the world!
But then how would they make money if they release it on the Internet to watch for free? Unless you mean put it on iTunes or straight to DVD or something

If what I assume is NK, then I'm thinking horrible English, terrible scriptwriting, very innacurate portrayal of the Americans and some NK guy painted orange.
Guys it's a movie. Created to make people laugh. Obama has tons of apps that make fun of him and RU-vid videos that make fun of him and even a comedian who makes fun of him. And Obama is obviously okay with it. This is made to make people laugh. And so far. It's one of the most popular movies right now. So chill out. If you want stupid things to stop. Then get off your ass. And start a revolution. Don't sit behind a computer expecting it to happen for you. News flash people. Nothing happens when you're on your ass. Enjoy the movie. Shut up. And live your life. Focus on you. Don't worry about what other people do. You see someone kill someone else. Focus on the present. You just saw someone die. So get out of there. And forget you ever saw it.
This movie is actually pretty good. I didn't like it that much the first time I watched it but the second time I started to appreciate it. Really quite well done.
Just watched this movie, one of Rogen/Francos best, I was uncontrollably laughing throughout the who film XD 100% recommended to anyone who enjoyed pineapple express or this is the end.

I do agree in some ways that it is unfunny, I feel as if a ton of the jokes were trying to hard to make you laugh at moments, but I did laugh a ton throughout my viewing.
Couldn't sony just leak the movie online? you know, to get revenge? cause they could just say that some hackers stole the movie and leaked it online. The movies already made and finished and theirs no use of it just sitting there, they might as well just leak it online cause since they canceled it they aren't gonna make any money off of it any way.
What's sad is that Seth Rogan has said for years that he hasn't directed a movie since because of the overwhelming hate he received for this movie. At the time of it's release, critic sites were slamming it. I absolutely love this movie!! The critics got it wrong, most people love this movie!!
Most than likely, no one here knows of a Charles Chaplin film called ' the Great Dictator '. It made Hitler looked like a bouffon. Chaplin was warned at the time, 1940, but he went ahead and made and released the movie. It was a success, tons of people saw it. That was America then. Guess what? I'm not even at all a fan of those two actors but I'm gonna go see it. If the movie does badly, we will be known for being a generation of cowards. Do you want that?
actually the great dictator was severly critized at the moment, people thought that it was not a subject to laugh about. Of course the Film itself is amazing, the ending specially (and in no way could be compared to this film). But I agree, I think not releasing this film is an act of cowardice, still, i'm not from the US. But they should release it in some form or another, it's like the South Park /Muhammad thing all over again...
And also this trailer was really a huge misleading death threat. What if Kim saw this and was afraid of what will happen to him? People who are scared tend to make huge mistakes.
Chaplin had some common sense to change the name though, Hitler was called "Adenoid Hynkel" in the film, the Nazi sign resembled the Nazi sign but it was changed too. No mention of the actual people involved was done, even though everyone knew what it was about.

Downloaded it, watched it, laughed at it, loved it. What can be a better comedy in 2014? Well, in 2015 of course something will beat this movie, but c'mon The Interview is funny as 50 comedians in the same stage, good story (well in a way) and just one of the best comedies of 2014. I'm ready for another funny comedy in 2015. Bring it home America!
Sony should thank NK for giving this movie the publicity it did, I had no desire to see it because I thought the movie looked stupid but now I'd gladly give Sony my money just to piss off NK
I know. If Korea made a movie like this America would go CRAZY!!! But, if we do it to them it's not a big deal!!! Like what's up with that?!?!?!!?!?!? We are always talking about peace and love, While were here making movies like this. I wouldn't be surprised if North Korea wants a war with us now. The people who made this movie should have thought of ALL outcomes before making it. This movie will have grave Repercussions.

I saw this today, i laughed my head of this was so funny. I had no idea it was going to be like it was. James Franco, Seth Rogen great chemistry, I had no idea James Franco could be so funny. The whole time i was picturing other world leaders sitting around watching this laughing their ass's of.
Fact: In 2015, I laughed so hard during this movie that my water broke. Had to rush to l&d, my son that night. I never got to finish it... He's 8 now and it popped in my head so I showed him this trailer lolol
okay I get why they're annoyed, but still. I'm British, there's a great movie about blowing up parliament and killing the leader of the united kingdom called V for Vendetta, don't know if anyone's heard of it though...
was it made by china or russia? no one cares when own people insulting/making fun of their own countries/people. but everyone care when other outsiders trying to insult their countries and the people.

Now that the Movie has been Canceled. North Korea wants all previews of the movie taken off the internet. I also really want to see the movie now, because I want what I am told that I cannot have.
This will def explode the movie. I however think the Hollywood corp. is seriously fucked up and some writers/directors need their heads checked. I don't see how some crap they release can be taken as entertainment. More like enter-train-ment
I know some of you have the urge to be different, to express divergent opinions just to draw some attention. It's only natural. But, come on, to defend North Korea regime is just silly and juvenile. A country such as NK should exist only in the saddest pages of our history books. So, yes. Let's make movies and whatever more to make them look pathetic. Maybe that will urge something to happen that can make them know some form of freedom.
I am i huge fan of James Franco, and i don't get why are they making such a big deal, i mean sure they shouldn't have chosen this theme of the movie, but it's all to entertain the crowd and it seems pretty funny.... :))))
If North Korea had any sense of humour or sense in general they would've laughed their asses off at this film because its funny as hell instead of getting angry.
