Such a best documentary I've ever seen in my life.Cricketing history of that period would always have golden place which cannot be delineated in words.
I find this very moving. The heartfelt emotion of the Australian cricketers for what England had endured in the War is what comes through and is deeply appreciated. They did give a "lift" to a populace battered by unimaginable suffering met by equally extraordinary stoicism. God bless them all.

This is just brilliant..to hear them speak.ian Johnson lived 2 blocks away at middle park..if we were playing street cricket he would give us a wave.he travelled by train to and from the MCG for work
Bradmans 1948 is still regarded the greatest of team of all time There was another great team australia produced was chappells team from 1974-1976 with the lillee and thomson factor and they had great batting depth, maybe bradmans team would be blown away Or go down to the wire
What a wonderful documentary this was to watch. As I write this, Neil Harvey, age 95, is the last surviving Invincible. The rest, though no longer with us, are Immortals to all who love and revere this game of cricket.
Very true, they are invincibles.Giants if giant Don Bradman along with Keith Miller,Ray Lindwall,Arthur Morris,Lindsay Hasset n young Neil Harvey! What do you expect more than invincibles.👍👍👌
😮 Commentators and writers keep saying and writing that Bradman needed four runs to have an average of 100 . They are grossly mistaken Bradman average was 101.4 before he went to bat at oval and by scoring 0 his average, was pulled down to 99.94.
You're welcome, Sai Keerthi Sundar. Glad you enjoyed it! :-) If you search through my videos, you should find plenty of other cricket videos from this era.
Great documentary . Just to add to the Dons last innings story , Eric Hollies the bowler could bowl a googly (wrong un in oz) but rarely bowled it . In the county match playing for Warwickshire against Australia he took 8 wickets but his captain instructed him to hide his googly . (He bowled Bradman with a topspinner.) So that when Hollies was selected for the last Test his googly surprised Bradman and it bowled him. The story also went round that Bradman was so overwhelmed by the reception he received from the crowd and the England team that he did not see the ball because he had tears in his eyes. When this story was told to Hollies he allegedly said " That hard hearted bugger never shed a tear in his life"
I think Bradman dispelled that one later in life - the tears in his eyes story. I don't he would have been the type to get emotional at all about anything.
. Absolutely wonderful Aussies of 1948 in all respects - main thing is their gentleman like behavior, which was completely gone by 1971 till today. But still feel Lloyd's team is the greatest invincible team in post WWII cricket!!!!
the people who love this amazing game ,have been blessed by some amazing teams .the windies being one of them . always saw clive as a big purring cat who could go from purring to move like lightening in an instant .
Apart from the match they lost to Ireland !! Story goes that the Windies enjoyed the Irish hospitality a bit too enthusiastically and the next day couldn`t hold a bat or even see properly.
Amazingly, something watch able from the gaybc. But how funny is the build up. A world of opera they reckon lol. How long since their abc ran opera shows
