If you like xr, just buy xr, what’s the problem? It is still performing perfectly fine. Apple would better do something like 8+, but with smaller internals to fit a big battery. That would be great.
I feel like since it’s a budget phone, they don’t need to release one more than every few years because the people who buy it will want to keep using it for a long time. And the se2 is still pretty recent so I don’t think they really needed to release the se3 in the first place, or release it a year or two from now.
@@Danny-xe2sg it IS a budget phone for people who need a good phone and can’t afford an iPhone… therefore, it is the definition of a budget phone, a money saving phone for those who need a good ohone

I like my SE3. I needed an upgrade from my old 7 but wanted to keep the finger print and size. Phone’s perfect for me, only downside is I didn’t get that new phone feeling
I went from a 6 to an X then to SE 2nd gen and despite that I still got the new phone feel. So much faster than the 6, so much thinner than the X. (My X broke that’s why I switched).

You people are so stupid that you would waste money on a phone that looks like it's from 2010. Like seriously are you people blind look at those bezels. Your better off with a 13 mini or 12 mini
It’s perfect I can’t stand 800.00 to 1k for a phone which no one really cares about.Since everyone has to have the latest and greatest every year and everyone I see is cracked and since most ppl don’t pay for their phone with their hard earned cash.Mom and dad put your ass on a family plan only to pay literally double of what it would cost to buy unlocked.I gotta a new skateboard every Xmas and shit my pants

@@jh5325 you be surprised how good thst phone accuntly is lol IPhone is normally 4 years behind Android with it comes to functionality and different futures One of big reason are that Android is Mostly open source so you can add tings yourself and let people use it for free, then Android take it and make it default on all phones Another Big reason is the competition Android need to fight other Android phones to sell there phones So they constantly fighting to improve there phone For example Samsung, Huawei, Sony ect Some make them have them come up on very Interesting tings (but, they always end up coping each others in 1-2 years) With IPhone is a closed source, some means that free coders can't edit and make new functions Just Apple can do that They are also kindda a monopoly Apple is just letting themselves use IOS Some means, they don't get the competition some Android dose Some mekes them not needing to improve there phones I mean you see that each new iPhone is similar to the one before, just with more camera lenses So Apple don't really need to work much with there phones, because people are gonna buy it anyway They normally copy frome Android But, since it's easier to copy Android to Android it takes longer time 3-6 years Since they need to copy Android to IOS some are 2 very different systems In the end, it's what you like Since IPhone is closed source so it's normal much harder to steal datta like Facebook dose With Android is much more customisable I honestly don't know witch one of them have better Security, it's hard to tell since they are so different But, Apple had a massive hole in there aystem in many years, some maked hacker's get all info frome your phone But, they fixed it now So I the end it's what you prefer Do you like closed source and more privately (as long Apple don't get hacked again) Or do you prefer a open source and a more customisable, functionality and futures It's up to you
When I went to apple store to buy this phone the dude that I bought the phone from says are you sure man I don’t think it’s a good idea to buy this phone. Edit: I should have taken that seriously
A 6 inch screen isn’t a miniature tablet, and if you’d rather sacrifice screen size over, a better display, better camera , better face, just over all a better phone then that’s on you
Hey ! I have a iphone 13 and i really love the classic iphone design , i’m about to buy a SE3 , do you think i should do that ? (Is SE3 better than 13 for an 19 year old guy? )
If you want to do streaming on your phone then stick with the iPhone 13 . The iPhone SE 3 takes reasonable photos but the battery life is shorter than the 13 , so it really depends what you want to do with your phone . If you do gaming on your phone stick with the iPhone 13
Apple should have made a new design for the 3rd gen instead of adding 5G into the 2nd Gen and call it a new SE SE 3 is good but they should have made a new design
SE lineup isn’t a failure for apple. They get to use up their old chassis and sell them for a decent margin while customers on a budget get a cost effective phone. Everyone can have access to the apple ecosystem regardless of your budget. That’s the specialty of the SE

I am a HUGE fan. I was not disappointed. I waited for the RU-vid video and woke up early in the morning to get me one. It’s got the iPhone 13 chip in it so it’s powered enough to do anything. I got it to get the thumbprint back, game on a classic, have something lighter in my pocket and restrict myself from feeling like I wanted to watch videos all day since it has a smaller screen. It’s the best phone I’ve ever had and it is affordable. Only thing I was confused about is the fact that they didn’t make it waterproof or why nobody else heard about its release. Hospitals did. Most companies who supply managers with work phone have chosen to get them these phones if they go Apple. My boss got one after me. My hospice nurses all had one. Social worker had one.
i have an se3 and i absolutely love it. Its a great size, the "home button" is amazing, and all in all its one of my favorite phones. It performs extremely well, on par with my friends iphone 12 pro. (in our experience). BUUUUT you were right about the things you said, it should have been advertised more.
My dad just got one of these the other day when his 6s started boot looping, and he’s given it nothing but praise. It’s exactly the form factor he’s used to, has the best possible internals, and didn’t cost an arm and a leg.
@@Danny-xe2sg it’s legit like 400-500, compared to other iPhones which are close to or more than 2x that. And before you say androids are cheaper, no, most of them are not.

@@AFoxGuy Apples had a notorious past for ending the lives of their devices early by letting users update to iOS versions that really don't work well on them. I will agree though, my 5S and 6S still perform surprisingly well for being on their last ios versions (iOS 11 and 15
yea, released back in march too, i was wondering why the SE on apples site was $400 and the one i got at walmart was $200 (the walmart one was a SE2, the apple site one was the SE3)
Well, all I can tell you is good luck. I had the SE second gen when it came out and the battery health dropped 12% by the near end of 2021, which is a pathetic battery from my experience and I’m not alone in this, Others have told me the same issue. I just hope that iphone doesn’t screw you over, considering that it’s a A15 chip, 5G and a better battery, crammed into a iPhone 8 chassis.
August 2024. Picked one up as my first iPhone and I like it, the design and functionality is great for new iPhone users especially if you like the older designs
OG iPhone SE is a real one too that beast of a phone still held up until it got thrown with force on asphalt! Might still work technically but the screen, edges and i think camera broke.
Because of the release of the SE3, I was able to get the last generation with max storage for less than I would getting a 64GB version. I call that a win for consumers, not so much for Apple
@@lordvader3697 after using an iPhone, I can confirm you don’t want an android after switching. I used to be a really big fan of androids but I switch to an iPhone and I don’t want anything but an iPhone
Do you have any regrets? I’m racing to post this with my 6S+, before it cuts out on me again. My goal is to transfer the important stuff from this phone to the SE3, then take this in Apple for a new battery.
Best is very questionable, if you want bang for your buck samsung or chinese phone companies can provide better performance, camera, etc for the exact same price. (Just the question which nation you want your information taken to, US korea or china which doesn't matter if you don't have important information in your phone). Apple only can beat everyone else in their high end product which is really good but position of the best is arguable thanks to high end market being very competitive right now. But atleast its one of the top 5 for me
@@ssrbgangimaribotan6thofthe12 Yh I agree, Android devices can offer MUCH better hardware than the SE3 in nearly every single aspect, except maybe performance as the A15 that is packed in the SE3 is highly capable, but then again the phone is still massively limited by the screen, battery life and camera etc Also didn't expect to see a SSRB here, greetings from your fellow Nousagi lmaooo
Nah, my best bang for such price would be android that can slap every aspect of SE3 with the same price, or i can just buy second hand iphone that have better specs than SE3
My dad got the SE 3 after his SE 2 broke. I tried explaining to him the difference between the two, but it be honest the only thing I could think of was 5 G.
@@geovannimunoz3542 Slightly better photos are due to better image signal processor in A15 chip and faster rendering speeds are generally because it is a beast. I have A15 in my SE 3 and it is as fast as hell. It’s extremely huge difference compared to my old SE 1st gen which had A9 chip. And if you are extreme hardcore gamer and you’ll attach some sort of external cooler on it then you got yourself a NASA PC.
@Rifki Akhmal Jibran what did you expect, cost efficiency a modern? 💀💀💀 apple's version of budget phones outdated rebranded phone 💀I'd go to android to get a better, waterproof, full homescreen with no home button. I didn’t realize it existence until getting a case for my iPhone 8. It should’ve been like the transition from the first to second gen, atleast a better camera
Exactly, XR shape is for main series now, Mini as far as we know will get discontinued, I really hope they will make a mini without Face ID but with a side fingerprint reader and that could be the new SE.
I love how some people in these comments are so used to ridiculously expensive Apple phones that the concept of a BUDGET PHONE can’t get through their skulls
although I do agree that iPhones are premium like iPhone 13 . but ...they are calling SE 3 As "cheap". 48k and they have only limited in production left . old display and bezels . its a disaster . 15k phones are better with better display .
I’m literally using a se3 right now and I’m actually suprised by this. This is very interesting though, makes a lot of sense why only me and one other person I know have one
It was released too close to the SE 2020. They should've given it a year or two more, put in some newer parts, and I'd have bought it. But I just got my SE 2020 in 2021, I'd like to get at least 2 years of use out of it before I shell out for a new one! But I love this form factor and I'm a huge fan of Touch ID, I'd love to get a new one eventually
I don’t think they will discontinue the SE line as a whole and I don’t think it’s a big failure, just the 3rd Gen specifically is a flop. I think they have squeezed as much out of the iPhone 8 body and are now going to move on to the XR/11 Body style and run with that for the next several iterations of SE, but we probably won’t see that for another year or two.
Personally I think if you aren’t needing to do super high res photos and have a charger in your car and at the office it’s perfect…. That’s if you like the small size and Touch ID. Most people probably like the Face ID with the large screens though so I get it
They won’t. Companies buy these all the time as fleet phones for employees since they are cheaper. iPhone would be cutting a reliable revenue stream discontinuing them.
The SE should be a smaller version of the current iPhone..like it was with the first SE. The SE was originally just a smaller version but now into a budget version. To keep the budget, the SE3 should have been a smaller iPhone 14 like the mini
I've got an SE3, its not bad, no issues with performance (it has the same chip as the iPhone 13), but the battery life is not great even when bought brand new. I can barely get through a day with moderate usage.
I’m actually completely pleased with it. I think you miss the whole point in the SE. it’s not meant to be groundbreaking or super fancy. It’s just meant to have the processing power of the modern iPhones in an old design and be cheap since I think the new designs especially the cameras are butt ugly. It’s essentially an all you need no gimmicks or BS iPhone and for that I absolutely love it..Also could you be any more rough with your stuff??
They serve a great purpose for someone who needs a future proof phone that will work for years to come but doesn't need the newest most expensive phone. I think Apple should continue to make a "budget" line iPhone. Easy to work on, cheap to repair, has great hardware and simple to use. I see SE's all the time at my repair shop, a lot of people think they're old phones because of they way they look, but Apple never really advertised these enough to where people understood they were a new phone with an old body. Even though they were putting hardware from the 11's and 13's in these 8 bodies, people dont typically see these and recognize its a 2020 or 2022 device.
Actually, they're heavily advertised in Turkey and other middle eastern countries! Infact, if you go to Apple's website, you would see the new SE above the 13 unlike the US website. And same goes for billboards and ads and whatnot. I'm guessing the SE 3 isn't really towards the US or any western country but rather for countries with lower income. You've got to realize that the US isn't the only market for Apple in the world and there is a sizable chunk of it like India and whatnot that Apple *really* wants to tap into, and this is their best bet of doing so, rather then promoting premium flagship phones there, a place where the competition is mainly made up of cheap budget flagship-killer phones.
People buy the SE for its simplicity and price. My 6S was getting old and support for apps dropped week after week. I just wanted my 6s but with newer internals and that is EXACTLY what the SE did. My only complaint is the lack of a headphone jack.
The SE3 should’ve been in an 8+ case instead of the 8 case, or at least offered a basic and plus model. Another great idea would be bring back the damn home button.
I broke one becas my grandma found one on the street and took it home and then i took it home tried to reset it but there was a icloud and it said it coult see my location so my dad broke it
They really thought they would have gotten away with selling us the same phone for 3 years, they honestly could’ve used the 8+ housing and it would’ve sold out. Though I suppose they had extras in production from the previous phone, but still they really thought we would buy the same phone for 3 years lmfao
@@YD_. no I know that, but it’s essentially the same phone, who that phone is targeted towards the older chip and the new chip literally makes no difference to them. Plus I said they could’ve very well have spare housings from the previous phone but honestly they really could’ve done something a little different that would set the phone apart from the previous, adding dual cameras, making the screen full front(or increasing the PPI to better quality), battery upgrade, improving the front camera, and the list goes on. Obviously a lot of these wouldn’t be possible because they used parts that were already made but over the pass few years Apple has become all about money, what’s the purpose in software locking parts that you buy from apple directly after giving them your serial number and the plethora of other problems they have created.
@@gamefanatic7252 there’s actually quite a big leap in the chip since the 2020 version used a benched A13. The SE 3 uses the same as the iPhone 13 and 13 mini.
