Great phone for people who are not chronically online and really only use their phone as a tool. Doomscrolling and gaming is going to kill the battery fast, but regular use, this is a gem.
stop making excuses for such a pathetic phone, you are basically buying an iPhone 8 with an A15 chip instead of an A11 chip... If you really want a budget iPhone, a used iPhone 12 is much better than this

@@ronaldmcdonald6067then don’t get the SE. Get whatever phone that meets your needs. There is still a market for people that still want this iPhone and still want to stay in Apple’s ecosystem. People that suffer from PWM are gonna need this. People that rather want Touch ID than Face ID would love this. People that want this familiar design and are upgrading from the iPhone 6, 7 or 8 would not only save them buying new accessories and not have their muscle memory tampered with are gonna want this phone.
Holy crap another person? I love older iphones, heck in 2024 I use a iPhone 11. I do have a iPhone SE though! And I mostly like to main my SE. it’s actually better than most iPhones.
There’s nothing wrong using this phone. You get the phone that matches your needs, not everyone else’s. Shopping for a phone now is like shopping for a car. Not everyone needs an electric. Not everyone needs a pick up truck. Not everyone needs AWD. Not everyone needs a mini van. So if people don’t judge you on the car you drive, then why should they judge you on the phone you use?
The SE is a good phone for people who want the basics . And those who want a small well built phone . It’s not for people who stare mindlessly at their phone all day. And it’s not for gamers who want to play all day. I have apps on it I use and I stream some programmes and take photos and listen to music at times , but I also like to live life in the real world and not be sucked into staring at my phone for hours on end
An excellent, compact, productive iPhone for 2024. I bought it in 2022 and have never regretted the purchase. Covers 100% of my needs. There are simply no analogues on the market at the moment, taking into account two main factors - size and performance.
From your pow it's a cheap iphone, from my point it's a slick old school minimalistic design with touch id and good chip. Not everyone using phone to melt their brains with media consumption.
So worth it at $150 at Walmart. It’s a fraction of the price of a 13. I think the camera is good enough and the screen size and quality is perfectly fine.
Got the same deal. Looks like itll automatically unlock on day 60, so I can use my normal phone number on my SE for times where i need to detox from my main phone a bit. even though im coming from an S21+, im absolutely loving this phone.
I used to get asked all the time "why is your phone screen so small?" when I owned a iPhone SE 3rd gen. Now I got a 15 Pro Max and no complaints so far :).
It's a great secondary device for me, I'm mostly an android guy but I'm also totally blind and both mobile platforms handle accessibility quite a bit differently, some stuff just works better on one or the other.
Glad I'm not the only one who likes carrying both, most people laugh at me but the ones who get it really get it lol. I will say after a few more months of using the SE I'm a little annoyed by the smaller screen compared to my s22 main phone but I'm super impressed with the performance and thermals in such a small body. That a15 chip from a few years ago is still competitive with the newest android flagships and blows my s22 out of the water with raw CPU horsepower and staying cool under high load. I usually don't care but I do notice.
lots of more recent phones but I'm attracted to the touch ID in the home button in iphone se. does anyone know an alternative to iphone se 3rd gen? spec wise it's good enough for me. my priority is having borders on my phone that is still reliable for running apps.
Sleeper phone looks old but it’s a beast in performance and it has 5G crazy that being said this phone does everything it needs to I love mine no need to upgrade at all
A really good iPod touch alternative from Apple now that iPods don’t even exist anymore, I remember me using an iPod touch for calls and texts and entertainment all while I was connected to WiFi, i can use it on WiFi without actually activating cellular.
I have the 15 pro max but to carry that around as a daily is a hassle and a distraction sometimes. I would use that as my personal device and the SE3 as my work phone. Convenient, compact, powerful. All you really need.
i bought one for minimalism, to help with my screen time, and so far it’s helped immensely. but you’re definitely right. at the same price as new SE, you can get a refurbished iphone 13 off amazon, or a myriad of good android phones that would offer a better experience
The 3rd gen SE is like going to an expensive restaurant and getting their best appetizer where after eating the appetizer you just want more to eat... My iPhone 11 Pro has kicked the can and well I'm waiting on the 16 pro, thus I am using the 3rd gen SE as a burner phone until the 16 pro comes out... Just heads up, if your a total wireless customer you can grab one for just $150 ;) ... Great video
I just got it on a deal from ATT today, waiting to receive it. It's 1.99 a month for 36 months or early payoff of 429 dollars. Since they are the only carrier that works in my remote location, I know I will be with them long enough to keep it. Plus when I am done with it, my 5 year old will be old enough to take over using it.
I am using this device as my secondary. I would use this phone only when my primary device Redmi Note 11s is in charging. So usage of only 40 mins a day. I would watch Prime videos on full brightness and now the screen is burned in!
I just wait for some sucker in my family to upgrade their iPhone. Then I offer them the same $ for what they would get from an apple trade in. Heck, usually they just give me the old phone instead. I have had my free hand me down iPhone XR for several years with no issues. Just waiting for someone to upgrade again. 😊
I stream a few programmes on mine each day , as well as listen to Spotify and go on websites and use a few apps but not gaming . It serves me well. It’s not meant for someone who stares at their phone all day
I just brought this phone secondhand with 4 months of apple care, excellent condition for £160.00 so for that price im thinking its a bargain. But if i was to pay more than i would get the iphone 13 mini.

I had an iPhone 12 Mini and I gave it to my wife immediately after getting it. Not because of the size but because of its horrible resolution scaling. If given the option, me personally, I would take the SE 3 over iphone 12 mini everyday of the week, but that's for my uses. I've never used a cell phone as more than a tool.
No it’s not worth it and that’s why no one bought it. Nobody wants a 4.7inch screen in 2024. The next SE needs to basically be the iPhone 13 but cheap. How cheap? €400 for the 128gb. If it’s more than that no one will buy it because they can get a brand new 13 for not much more. Or a used 12 or 13 for less. Where I live in Cyprus this costs today €529 for the 64gb!!!!!!! That is CRAZY expensive ! I guarantee you they haven’t sold even a single unit. Especially when you can get an iPhone 11 64gb for LESS at €519 or an iPhone 12 64gb for €549 or the 128gb for €599…. What the actual f were they thinking with this pricing? Do they like to carry dead inventory??????!!! It’s nuts and this phone is a joke. The next SE better damn well be way better and cheaper!!
I like the 4’7 inch size of it and I am not a gamer, I don’t want to walk around with a phone the size of a tablet. So it’s pretty, also fast, last all day, charges so fast and it’s pretty powerful so yes I think it’s fine if you don’t want a huge phone, also a 429.00 phone for 189.00 why not if you don’t need a large phone and don’t want to pay a fortune, and you like the Apple Systems which I don’t; so that’s my only problem, trying to find another Samsung or android that is not so large. So thought I’d give this a shot cause the size but it drives me insane, “I need that back button”! Lol
@@GameOver-nm2us To be honest, I have a 15, and I just prefer the smaller form factor. At times, it does feel kind of small when I'm watching RU-vid videos, so I use my MacBook for that, but it fits perfectly in my hand, and I love touch ID.
Massively agree, the phone itself is kinda expensive especially for it's specs, ik it has a good chipset but really you can get something better with that money, but i can see why some people buy this, it's small and some people like small phones
A good alternative would be an iPhone 12 (if it's still sold in your area). They're about the same price or even a bit cheaper. It has better specs overall. Yes, iP12 only has the A14 Bionic compared to the A15 on the 2022 SE, but the difference in performance is negligible, especially if you aren't a power user.
iPhone 13 is a good upgrade too, it only costs a little bit more than the SE. If you're willing to spend about $50-100 more, then definitely go for the 13.
