I don't know what type of person could leave an explosive device in a public place and walk away, not knowing who might be nearby when it went off. There is no cause worth that.

Warnings given often special branch and MI5 the fru etc didn't give specific info to police to maximize casualties without making the police seem completely incompetent.

Mcgurks,Monaghan and Dublin suffered attacks from Loyalist paramilitary groups.. Too many people suffered and too many died.. Both sides should be ashamed.

There is no way that them outrages were committed by the UVF alone. They just were not that well organised with the technical know how in 1974. They got help by the security forces in my opinion. They were definitely helped getting over the border and probably the bomb manufacturing. Even the PIRA who were the best in the world at the time could not have pullled that one off
