You did a great job of capturing the outside! Just home last night from a 6 day stay at The Island Resort FWB, and I'd like to add the flip side of our experience. The immediate check in went fine. Although not super welcoming, it was "polite" enough, until.........we waited 20 minutes for a luggage trolley while 6 employees laughed and joked at the desk. We loaded our own items, pushed our own trolley and no one offered to help. BTW we're in our 70's. Our phone didn't work. I reported it. I was told " my landline doesn't work sometimes too". Our balcony door didn't lock, so it banged all night in the wind. The AC didn't work and ran constantly freezing us. Our flight home was cx d/t storms in the area and had to book another night. They acted like it was a BIG INCONVENIENCE and actually made us call reservations to do this and then we were charged $ 440 for the night. We'd asked for a late check out and were given 1 hour. After spending thousands on the trip, upgraded room and food, the best they would offer is 1 hour. I cannot say they are guest friendly. It's definitely a big corp show and every penny counts to them V guest services. Oh! And they add % 2.3 if you use a credit card. So take cash not to get ripped off. The resort fee? Isn't that covered in the $ 440/night stay. We won't be back.
