yeah, I wanted to know if I can run a carno down. thought it is solo first. during the chase (specially when it started to run back where we came from) I got a feeling there might wait a friend. didn't expect three of them tho was a fun fight tho

yeah, I guess a carno has a hard time in a 1vs1 with cera now. two carnos should do the job tho. teno is probably another story

I wasn't sure. while playing it was going pretty fast, but felt weird. when I watched the footage later on, I got a feeling it saw me and sat down then. like kill me. or it might have panicked and pushed the wrong button, dunno but yeah, it's also possible that I totally surprised it

yeah, they did a very good job luring me into this trap I didn't notice it at first. only during the editing I was like, wait what, that wasn't the red one was a fun fight, I died with a smile on my face

1vs1 would have been fine. 2vs1 would have been possible with a little luck, but, 3 were too many for my skill level

thx mate ♥ it was such a fun battle. first I just wanted to try if cera is able to run down a carno. then vs 2 I was hyped about the challenge and also location. well, the third got me by surprise, but, I loved it. that's why I love this game so much. you never know what happens next. as soon as you feel safe, nature strikes back

yeah, I am not the most skilled fighter, but, I guess 2 would have been possible. with a little luck anyway, was a fun fight. sounds great, I never tried tracking by vomit by now. for sure interesting

thx ♥ you should give it a try. it's a fun dino to play and even pretty easy to grow. the long range of cera's scent and the fact you can eat rotten meat, makes it quite easy to find food while growing. to keep it alive as adult is the more challenging part then

people tell me this for quite some time now, but, it doesn't work for me somehow

well, carno has probably a very hard time vs cera now. so, a 2vs1 was fine imo. the third was too much for my skill level

this might help to stabilize the FPS, but, sadly it doesn't work for the shadows

@@da.mombie Idk, I disagree. It went from shadows looking like a slideshow at 1fps to moving more smoothly. If you're talking about the quality of shadows and looking better, not the movement, the quality and fps of everything in the game is lowered beyond like maybe 10 to 15 meters. If you stand on a highpoint, like a rock jutting out of foliage, you can really see this. There will be a bunch of detail within that 15~ meter range, and then the grass and foliage are gone and you must see rocks and trees and flat detail land. So yeah I agree with you, beyond that distance it doesn't change much. But closer you can tell the difference in shadow quality. I notice it most when I'm drinking. And as for the original tip, when you hit apply, the game will reapply your settings you had it on before logging out. For some reason every time you exit the game or a server restarts, it sets it to its own setting without changing the selection in the menu. Hitting apply does the same thing as setting the quality to low and back to high. since you're already selected on high it will apply that setting, which is on low even though it says high. That's also why it helps your frames. In most people's mind, they try to change that setting and hit apply and it fixes it not understanding that the server auto defaults their setting, but saves and shows it as their custom setting. So that the fps cap isn't limited anymore.

@@Deimos_Day I have to admit that I was focusing on the distance and yeah, I know what you mean with the shadow while drinking. I didn't watch out for that to be honest. I did notice that the FPS became way more stable after I hit the apply button, but as you saw in the video, it didn't effect the shadows in the distance. but, your explanation sounds very reasonable. thx ♥ I will keep an eye on the shadows in closer range

thx ♥ reaching high? do you mean the highlands? personally I use landmarks like the dome, mountains and rivers. but, if you are a new player, then I can recommend this map vulnona.com/game/the_isle/ you can even copy your coordinates from the tab menu to see where on the map you are

I love how loud it is. even when it drinks it's pretty loud

I had to set DLAA on "performance", because I don't get my stable 60 FPS with a higher setting there anymore. until this update I had it DLAA on "quality" at least

charge bite on carnos head should do more damage then a ram on such a short distance imo

normally you don't get stam back by trotting below 60% stamina. this mutation lowers it to 55%. same for the other stage, where you have to sit or stand still.

CPU: amd ryzen 9 5900x, GPU: nvidia rtx 3080, 32 GB RAM. if you want to play in 4k, then I would recommend at least the 3080 (or 4070). if you want to play 2k, then I would recommend at least the 3070. if money isn't that much of an issue, then I would even recommend the 4080

@@da.mombie Thats insane, its just your setting are epic and your on 3840x2160 including lumen on and you still get good fps and when mine are my pc gets a heats a bit more heat lol. Thanks.
