YO! Realism is the shit. Seriously guys it's so much fun to play with realism. Let me know how you feel about this EP, The basis for the juvy chasing the allo was i was fast enough to keep up and the rex in reality was a smart predator. I don't think it's unrealistic for matured juvy / sub adult to know it has to let others know where food is, that said i want to head your thoughts! :)

I love this realism series! The family pack behavior stated is correct, scientists believe this is the most likely family structure for Tyrannosaurs. As sub-adults the young would start hunting with the adults, shepherding prey and acting as hunting scouts with their superior speed. They would eventually leave after becoming young adults and they might have actually left on their own accord to search for mates, though those that were slow to leave the nest were driven away.

Nick D. people are comparing dinosaur behavior to their closest relatives and there were fossils found of 2 to 4 rexes one being an adult and others being juvies or young

If you want realism then the female rex should be the more aggressive one to chase off predators, she was larger and likely more aggressive than the male

There's actually no evidence towards the idea of larger, more aggressive female _Tyrannosaurus_. It was a fairly popular idea in the '90s because the adult _T. rex_ fossils we have show two different morphs, one slightly larger and more robustly built than the other. However, nowadays it seems that those differences are linked to a change in the _Tyrannosaurus_ population over the course of a million years or so; the larger morphs we have come from slightly older rocks than the smaller morphs, and some researchers in this field are very tentatively floating the idea that this is actually a species change from _T. rex_ to a new, unnamed species of _Tyrannosaurus_.

It's an interesting idea, it's just not supported by the evidence we have. In fact, there's more evidence to suggest that most coelurosaurs (including _Tyrannosaurus_) exhibited mostly, if not entirely, paternal care, meaning the father was the one who did most of the child-raising.

It's not just random guessing though; it's informed inferences and speculation based on the evidence we have and the information we know as fact. At this point it's not impossible for female _Tyrannosaurus_ to be larger and more aggressive since there's not direct evidence either way (plus we've only been able to sex one individual), but the evidence that was used to support that idea has been shown to have been misinterpreted and actually supports a different idea entirely, so it does give your hypothesis fewer legs to stand on. (I.e., more unlikely.)

Ink what I've heard is the young would chase after the Prey(Most Likely the Old,Sick or Injured) and would chase the target towards the parents who would be hiding in the trees and when the time is right they would jump out and kill the prey

Andrew Reis with raptors, they stay with family for life. The mother and father won't help hunt. But when the raptors were old enough they would help hunt and thus a raptor pack. Usually a good pack is around 3-5 and any higher would have been bad or overbreeding cause of males wanting females. Only male raptor young are chased off. I think.

@@ivy2q from what indication or evidence? we can say a lot of what a dead animal is capable of and what not. we know little to nothing if it comes to social interaction. there is only one fossil of two deinonycus attacking prey. But even that is no 100% proof it simply could be a coincident. There is no base for such a theory, except for jurassic park. since that film everybody believe that velociraptors hunt in packs.

I love this video it was actually realistic. Compare to a hyena, the rexes were determined to catch their prey as hyena would go miles for a meal. Wow, I think Anthomnia made it even more realsitic and din't even realize lol😂

I know this video has been out for awhile, but during Tyrannosaurus hunts it was likely that "subadults" would chase down non-defensive prey and chase them into hiding adults, wearing them down and nipping at them to gain this worn out state (found from tooth marks that fit the size of sub adult rexes, as well as it being a plausible theory).

I forgot what show it was but there was a rex special about them potentially hunting as a pack like lions or wolves. There'll be an alpha pair with omegas that will watch over young, help hunt, patrol, and so on.
