Whether or not it's unfair isn't really the issue, I think the main issue is that it's the tier 0 deck across both formats available to the TCG at the moment and is still the best deck in the OCG, and most of the other decks aren't being given enough to really keep up with it. There are people who are trying to retroactively say Tear was a good format so in a year or two when Snake-Eye gets powercrept it will be able to be looked at with those goggles.

Ban Flamberge. They still function as a 1 card combo link spam deck that can do some interesting things, but that card is sorta a highlight as the thing that makes the whole thing busted. Also, people complain about floodgates because they're annoying, while they complain about things like SE cause they sap all the variety out of the game. Imagine you're playing a game and virtually every enemy is the same thing.

Every few months there's always some tier zero strat Ether Kashtira Adamancipator Tearlament Or whatever Yugioh set design also encourages tier zero strats cause each deck is better then the last hence the incentive to buy new cards..

The “problem” with SE is just the fact that it’s a 1-card combo deck, and while the SE end board can still be fair, trying to play into it with boardbreakers inherently put you at a card disadvantage, so naturally the handtrap approach is “better”, and then it turns into a game of playing 18+ handtraps. I think this is what people complain about. Imo, the format being handtraps-heavy is “fine”. I don’t like it, but it’s not inherently bad either. And after having somewhat good results against it in MD with a relatively low handtraps list, mostly engines Tearlaments, I think handtraps isn’t the only approach. It’s just that, compared to playing handtraps and just stop whatever they try to do from the get-go, playing into their board is inherently more difficult and disadvantageous, so people don’t want to do that and results in the format where they complain about what they chose to do (playing more handtraps, then complain about the format being handtraps-heavy).

its just a boring deck, end of story. it doesn't do anything remotely interesting, It has 0 cool gimmicks, atleast tenpai has something going for it, atleast tearlament innovated, snake eyes is an amalgamation of yugioh's worst design aspects come together to form one of the most boring combo deck the game has ever, and will ever see.

I'm gonna say it, Konami needs to stop making Negate Effects, One-Card Combo Starters, Generic Boss Monsters and Cards that Banish Your *OPPONENT'S* cards not even in play. Runick, Kashtira, Snake-Eyes, Tear were all blights on the game itself. Those decks and designs are horribly crafted and they need to be put to an end.

Ban Original SInful Spoils - Snake Eye. I know it makes Diabellstar kinda bad, but it's too powerful even at 1 copy and Konami made sure that the other targets were shit. It also takes away the synergy with Fire King and other fire decks, but at this point, I don't really care. Also fuck handtrap wars.

Snake eyes is just the current flavor of the month to the ALAWAYS unhappy yugioh community. When it eventually gets taken care of, people seem to act like these decks NEVER get hit, the new complaint will be Yubel, Fiendsmith, Gimmick Puppet, Tenpai or whatever new deck is going to take its place and the cycle will begin anew. Also, isn't snake eyes just pre-MACR zoo, a very powerful deck that was beatable?

Must've been opposite day when this vid was made, cuz ain't no way anything with braincells made these arguments. Nothing that you mentioned fall into the line of fair or balanced or fun decks. If they're the one playing them, sure, but if not, might as well scoop. Who even loves to have all of their plays negated? Who even loves to play solitaire and then do nothing because their opponent left 15 min ago? We don't love to complain. As you said we love tp have control of the game, and yet in current state, whoever goes first or draws 5 handtraps going second is the one in control. For a year every deck was the same, running the same engine with only 5 original cards in main deck. Thats not variaty, thats iphone, same shit, different look. Floodgates and maxx-c are only annoying to ppl that play solitaire for 30min. If anything, with all these fucking monster effects that do fuckin everything not once per turn, floodgates are actually a breath of fresh air that forces you to think differently and out it, unlike every meta deck for past 2 years that has same bs combo of playing their entire deck and gy like they drew it all on their first hand, and preventing your opponent from playing. At this point just clasify it as a single player game and make it vs bots cuz its the same deal of you jk lol winning.
