I was a huge believer in the wage gap... until I looked up the study. It’s the median of ALL OCCUPATIONS of men vs women. That leaves so much room for bias and error. I was shocked. I had been walking around telling people about the wage gap for years, but it’s okay to have humility and admit when you’re wrong. I was wrong! Nobody has the humility to admit when they’re wrong anymore. Has to do with narcissism imo
its also illegal to pay a woman less for the exact same work that a man is doing, so if a man is making more money than a woman while working the same position, it's safe to assume that a) hes doing more work such as working more hours and not taking off that many sick days, b) he's negotiated with his boss to get a raise and was successful in doing so, or c) both. if none of the above is happening, then there needs to be legal actions taken because of it.

If ten women earn a combined total of 400k they average 40k, so there would be a gender pay gap of 20% for women. But if all 20 people (both men and women) had the exact same hourly pay rate, but the men worked 50 hours a week and the women worked 40 hours a week there would still be a 20% pay gap. Thats the problem with the pay gap statistic, it does not consider hours worked or jobs worked, but only looks at total money earned. The gap really only exists where there are children. Childless men and women earn about the same, but when a couple has a child the man tends to work more paid hours, while the woman tends to do less paid hours and more childcare. This is seen as an injustice but most often it is the preferred arrangement for couples.

The body hair problem? The problem is that the same picture without body hair present would be a "normal picture" and with body hair it's "showing it off". The problem is that when I stopped shaving regurarly my own mother called me out for "not taking care of my higene" (it's literally as if sb told you you're dirty cause you don't have make up on) The problem is that my friends feel uncomfortable working out because they have a little bit of hair on their calves. Shaving was heavily pushed by ads of razor factories to create a market for their razors. Because of that they pushed the femininty=hairless narrative. Biologically, body hair on a woman suggest, that she is in a fertile age. Just prepubecent kids have no body hair. So questioning the norm of needing to be hairless to be seen as "taking care of yourself" and even to a point of suggesting unhygiene can and should be questioned. I do not care what preference somebody has and who they want to date but that does not give you the right to shame, attack or undermine sombody becauee of the mere fact that they let their body hair be.

Yeah. The modeling industry is one of the few fields were women get paid more, BUT again their career have a shorter span. A female model’s career is usually over once she’s 25, but male models can literally be scouted at that age. Add that they need to spend more money on their skincare, clothes, haircare, make up, while male models just need a hair transplant, clear skin and a fit body. David gandy is 42 and look 55, and he’s the best paid male model, but women get called old when they no longer look like underage teens.

I’m a feminist and I one hundred percent agree. The only thing I believe is oppressing us is the rising number and statistics of women who are sexually assaulted in their lifetime and men who still are able to get out of it along with how unsafe the world is in general. Sexual Assault is a lot more common than murder, and it’s in my opinion the worst crime you can commit because there is absolutely no reason to take advantage of someone whereas other crimes could have reasons to why they are committed. We are all individuals and that has it's uniqueness, but none of us are the only one of our kind... there are people out there you can connect with... get out of your dorm room and go look into clubs on campus, check them out, and meet more people. You are never alone, there are always people around you looking for a new friend as well.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but the pay gap part is not correct. In Germany, for example, the pay gap currently is 18%. 11 of those can be explained by differences in career selection etc. But after accounting for those, there is still a 7% wage gap as in women are paid 7% less for performing the same role with the same qualifications. That IS sexism. Also, it is some sexism that social fields pay less, because the very reason that they pay less is because women traditionally perform them.

Hooking up and liking sex shouldn't even be in the same category. It's even statistically proven that sex is a lot better when you wait to have it with your forever partner because you are comfortable with the other person and know how to communicate. I am a man who works in construction, and I will say it's very rare to work with women, and like 90% of the women I have worked with allure in office jobs. The other 10% are usually very masculine, and usually have female sexual partners. It's not uncommon to see coworkers in construction fields that are missing fingers or even a leg or both legs. I am one of the lucky ones that have all of my limbs intact, but it's a constant possibility in our field. Teachers, nurses, psychiatrists, etc. Don't have to worry about losing a limb or digit going into work. As sad as it sounds, teacher is probably the most dangerous of the female dominated fields, and their chances of getting seriously injured or killed is still very low when you compare them to male dominated fields. If you want women to get equal pay, they have to take equal risks. High risk, high reward; low risk, low reward. If a McDonald's crew member is paid as much as a cell tower climber, nobody is going to be a cell tower climber, and everyone is going to be lined up for a job at McDonald's.
I feel like 99% of those kinda' issues you talk about (and all those issues which are the concern of woke people etc.) are caused by people not having enough responsibility. We try to think like everything has to be fixed by laws. There are some things which should be regulated by law (like censorship on social platforms) in my opinion, but I feel like it's good to lay more responsibility on people, not less, and root important values into individuals, families, traditions, not just enforce the extremes of them with law. That is actually what I percieve as the best form of right wing view of politics. Slowly teaching people how to interact and behave among others so they don't have to blaim stuff on the government - which also means the government would slowly give up it's unnecesarry/unneeded control over some things.
The birth control thing is crazy to me. I had to go on birth control because my period was going on for 3 months straight and had tons of trouble regulating. It also helps with my mood but why would you put a young child on it cause you don’t want her to give birth? it sounds stupid of the left.
It's the grassroots and politics feedback loop. More people convinced victimized, politician take the stage for solutions. More victims are re-enforced by the political message and the cycle is started. Not necessarily in this order. The politician more often creates victims by preaching to the hopeless, stirring them into a frenzy demanding more political promises.
I consider myself a feminist. I will fight for women to live a fulfilling life, to have the same opportunities as men, to be their own boss etc. However I will not be fighting for those who purposefully adapt a misogynistic man's mindset and call it "woke intersectional feminism". I will not be fighting for those who erase womanhood, I will not be fighting to "eat the rich", and I will not be promoting victimhood and straight up narcissism. I like the fact that women and girls with body hair are being shown on media so I know that having body hair as a girl is okay and I don’t have to be shamed for it.

Feminism today has lied to women and created a false reality of what it means to be strong and independent. I remember watching a tiktok clip of an older woman who was explaining to the young girls that they shouldn’t be taking advice from city girls who have money, have a stable relationship/marriage, have kids, and a home. Not to mention older women like our parents or grandparents would say that this generation has so many excuses of why they can’t obtain FULL equality but cherry pick the ones they want. Last time I checked equality of the sexes is like Nerf: All or nothing. Plus the whole “women are more caring and nurturing “ ordeal when it comes to careers or any other field should be tossed out the window. Feminism today just made some women abandoned their instincts to experience the world of men. Finally is my problem with “traditionalism” and “modernization”. CAN YOU PLEASE PICK A DAMN SIDE FOR GODS SAKE! You can’t be one and expect your partner to be traditional. Either you both stick to your traditional rolls or be like today and go half and half. Also single motherhood shouldn’t be glamorized considering that the statistical outcomes never lie. Consider yourself lucky if you beat those statistics
Sibgle parent homes can have lots of downsides, including children possibly going in and out of jail all the time. Not only that, there are women that want men to pay child support to the children at the expense of their well-being.

Broken family survivor here, and I'm fortunate that I didn't end up in jail. I'm among the lucky ones, and now have a decently paying, albeit a bit unstable, job, but wouldn't trade it away for anything.

As a gen z, I see a glimmer of hope for us. But this has and will damage the youth like us, and even worse, developing children. Will people wake up from this nightmare, or will it become our reality? ...I'm afraid I don't have an answer.

I do think that the interest thing does come from stereotypes. Women and men are often brought up very differently based on those stereotypes. Boys get toy cars and stuff for their birthdays while girls get dolls, often without knowing the child’s actual interests. That’s just one example of children being raised differently based on their gender. So of course that has some effect on how the child develops. I think that’s unfortunate cause we’re probably missing out on a lot of fantastic female engineers or male psychologists but it’s not “OppREsSIoN”
I liked lightning McQueen and red when I was younger and I am a girl (a real biological girl). That was in the 2000s and if I was a little kid now, I would be viewed as transgender. I still wore dresses, pink clothing, liked the color pink, and wore normal little girls clothes. Now I am in my 20s and still wear feminine clothes such as dresses and floral shirts. I wear jeans, vans, baggy t shirt every day. On special occasions, I wear dresses and jumpsuits. My parents did not care what I liked when I was younger, they just wanted me to be happy. Just because I liked boys toys doesn't mean I am now trans. I still liked Dora, Barbie, and pink when I was younger.
Well said, Misha. I used to be more of a left-leaning feminist as well, but I've realized that there are significant problems with modern day feminism. First of all, feminists like to talk about the 'patriarchy' and how it ruins society etc. but there is no evidence of a universal patriarchy. It just doesn't exist. Some societies are more patriarchal than others, but I would argue that for the most part, in western culture, women are equal to men. Another problem with modern feminism is that they tend to focus on trivial matters such as the 'pay gap' etc. while ignoring real issues that women are facing, such as human trafficking and prostitution, domestic violence etc. So basically, these women are sitting in university classes talking about how oppressed they are while other women are out there actually suffering. Look at Afghanistan, for example. Girls cannot even go to school. In my opinion, that is true oppression.

As a woman that does not shave, I am totally fine with you and many people not liking body hair and not wanting to date me.. I am happily married. On the other hand it is not fine to attack or shame someone because of it. If you mean that by "not positive feedback". Just because you personally do not prefer something it is non of your matters of how others wear their body hair.

My ex-wife was super into this hyper-feminist ideology. Toward the end of our relationship she didn’t work (not until I found her a job and then it was only part time). I worked full time, went to college and did most of the cooking and cleaning. Yet when I either forgot or was unable to do one thing and asked that she help me, I was a misogynist, worthless and asked too much of her. I would get lectures on how terrible I was and what a horrible partner I was to her because she had to take out the trash once. Yep.
Misha, I feel really anxious about this world. Sometimes, I wish if I could just run away in the forest and never come back. But I have my parents and sibling to take care of and I must stand strong for them.

this video is pure common sense , and yet we live in a society where this is a rarity( when not outright suppressed), I wonder how many women actually think like this? because social media makes seems like all young woman a radical woke feminists, that of course isn't the case, but it gets rather difficult to know what is happening outside of my own town with how deceptive the news and social media can be.
I can say based on my experience that a lot of woman out there think similar to Misha but are too afraid to go against the woke mob or their friends, so they seem invisible. But as far as indoctrination goes nowadays, this type is going to dwindle in the younger generations.

It wasn't popular. Feminism was a movement largely started by men and 96% of women didn't want the right to vote because they didn't want to be drafted.

As someone who was young when a lot of the pressure to sleep with people after only a few dates, or having one night stands after a club night started (and of course watched it morph into what sex/dating culture is today) there is literally nothing I regret more in my life than believing the lies about casual sex, abortion, birth control, etc that were fed to young women and men. It quite literally ruined large parts of my life. While I take responsibility for my own actions I know I never would have behaved as I did if it wasn't being touted as such an amazing thing to sleep around and how "empowering" it is for women and "natural" it is for men. The "sexual revolution" was probably one of the worst things to happen to modern society. There was much less wrong with first wave feminism, as women shouldn't be viewed as "defective men" (as Aristotle and his intellectual descendants believed) and both men and women should have the same rights and opportunities. But now we've gotten to the point of denying the reality that men and women have differences. Our differences are supposed to be a beautiful, complementary thing! It's really sad to see how far from that original path we've gone.
I studied an engineering degree in telematics, there were 23 students in our class, only 5 of them were women. This isn't a job, it's a university. So I'm wondering, considering this ratio between men and women studying engineering degrees, why are feminists so upset that there's not enough women in STEM? Our college was campaigning with all women in our career to try to get more women to study an engineering degree. They were basically begging. I'm not sure if it worked or not, every generation had a similar ratio of the vast majority of students being men and only a few women per generation. I think 3 generations later, there were 29 males and only 2 females. But yes, it's the toxic workplace that keeps women off of stem, definitely not their career choices.
Notice, though. Feminists never bitch about the lack of diversity in jobs like brick-laying or construction. They hone in on the "fancy" careers and positions. There was a point in STEM where women were discouraged from pursuing such fields, but things have changed (in the West). This isn't the decade where girls were just expected to be housewives and pump out babies. The damn door is wide open, but most women don't want to go into the STEM fields. Furthermore, feminists have a really bad habit of not wanting the same level of accountability and standards for women. This is why there are such big pushes for "equity." But what does equity really entail? It means lowering the bar. Special scholarships just for women. It means forcing diversity quotas that would just hire (a probably lower-qualified) woman for the job compared to her male counterpart. So much talk about equality/equity, but it just comes off as bending the rules to favor women. That's not making things equal. It's just trying to strive for superiority.

I think what the modern feminists say does exists but not in America or the West because in certain places of the world wage difference does exists and women are discriminated against.For example Honduras and other countries in Latin America,A lot of countries in Asia like China and Japan and some countries in Africa where FGM (Female genital mutilation) is still practiced.And lets not forget the Middle East.Just a few years ago women were allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia and women a still stoned to death there.

Looking at women today as a married man of twenty years, I hear women saying they don't want men to sloot shame them whilst promoting culturally hookups, sex work, prostitution and having body counts mass murderers only dream of. *If* slooting is inherently a positive thing, a good thing and an ideal that women should strive for, how could it be shamed? If it is inherently a good thing and should be considered that way, why would shame be attached to it at all? Men aren't the ones going around calling women 304s, despite throughout history the bar for a 304 would be multiple sexual partners outside of marriage. A low bar by today's standards, but women have obliterated that bar, racking up hundreds of bodies. What is the bar for being a 304, women? 1,000 sexual partners? 10,000? Regardless of what metric you want to use, what isn't the metric is whether you feel the label applies to you or should be applied to you.
You appear to me a very nice young woman. I am considerably older than you (mid 60's) so let me offer you some sage advice. Here goes... Each new generation must find its own way. So I would suggest that you don't become a tradcon (traditional conservative) but to find your own way. Make up something new. That way the view points you take will be the new cool latest thing. Trust your heart. It you don't feel OK sleeping around that's fine. I notice from what I am reading the new younger generation or at least an element within it is not ready to embrace that old dusty sagging sex positive movement. If you feel like a lot of people in our society are doing nasty and disgusting things, then it is time for you and others your age to start your own new revolution. Be the next step forward! I've seen a lot of comments on social media that echo what you said at 3:45 I'm male and if I wasn't married, would prefer to date a biological woman. Supposedly, that makes me transphobic. Am I not allowed personal taste? I have no problem with gay or transgender people, I just don't want to have sex with one and find it weird that under 'woke' rules I seem to be actually obliged to find transwomen sexually attractive.
A lot of these movements were meant to be more of a normalization of the traits rather than a "showing off" thing. And so what if they want to show off their body hair? People show off all kinds of stuff and no one cares? Someone being proud of something has nothing to do with you.
