Every now and again I realise just how ridiculous one piece must seem to people who aren’t fans of the series. One of the most dangerous characters in the series we have seen. has the power. of string
To be honest the ridiculousness was clear ever since we knew the main protagonist had the power of rubber. Luffy is basically Dhalsim yet he's going to end up the strongest man in the world. In this world rubber will beat everyone and everything, including giants of all sizes, weapons of all kinds, all logia (including magma and light), all zoans including mythical, etc. So we already knew. It's all very circumstancial.
@@Monsolido I don’t think he will be the strongest since One piece doesn’t follow the trend of the main character being the strongest/ second strongest at the end but he will definitely beat every opponent with help.
My favourite Devil Fruit in the series. Can level civilizations to the ground as well repair damaged organs . Is effective offensively and in defence. Doflamingo is my favourite character in the series. And this devil fruit is legendary. And i think he made full use of its abilities. Great Video and congrats on 50k subscribers.
🎵Spider Mingo Spider Mingo Swings around like a Spiders dingo Is he stronk? Yes he is! Watch out or you'll lose a limb! Watch out! Here comes the Spider Mingo!🎵
One of the best, most versatile Devil Fruits to ever appear, thus far, and the first user to introduce us to the concept of AWAKENING Devil Fruit powers for Paramecia types. In my experience, GLR, purple/pink auras are usually associated with the third eye or crown chakras, indicating a massive level of mental control and a strong connection to the cosmic energy of the universe. Despite being mainly interested in manipulating "mere mortals" to watch the world burn, DoFlamingo is not someone I would underestimate in terms of intelligence; the man positively radiates the air of a "street-smart Devil's advocate" for the worst parts of human nature. And then, there's his connection to the "close to gods" Celestial Dragons.
I friggin love the String fruit, I always do the Finger movements from when doflamingo uses them its such a badass fruit Also couldn’t a string user in the real world be a good surgeon.? They could relocate organs without using tools saving resources and patch/ Sew together the opened body after surgery
The first character shown with a quiet mysterious power is lucky roo, if somehow he's a df user, he'll be the longest known character with an unknown df.
I think a lot of this fruit being ranked so high is down to the user being insanely strong and intelligent. He's practiced a LOT with this fruit. The gomu gomu no mi was worthless in the beginning and so was the hito hito. Their users made them stronger. Normal rubber can't resist Eneru's lightning, normal rubber can't punch through rock and stone, stretch and resist being sliced to ribbons. It stands to reason that the string fruit had similarly humble beginnings and it's due to the merit of Doflamingo himself that it reached the insanity it did. He knows how to stitch himself together, he knows the composition of the strings, he's one of the only awakened DF users in the series, etc. What I'm trying to say is that the fruit itself isn't inherently OP like Enel's, Sugar's, or Blackbeard's fruits. It takes a strong user to achieve this and Luffy & Chopper are exhibits A & B that most devil fruits can be made very strong even if they aren't immediately apparent as such. TLDR: High skill ceilings on most DFs to make them at minimum decent. Only a few are inherently just crap(Kinemon's, the Dachsund fruit, even Chopper's is only good because it's user is not a human), and only a few are OP by their very nature without the user having to be very smart or skilled(Logias come to mind here, particularly Enel's and Akainu's fruit. That's not to say that Akainu isn't a great DF user. He is, but magma is also ridiculously strong by nature. Enel's dumb though.)
Oh man! I’m so late to this video! Doflamingo was an amazing character and villain! And what is behind his second pair of sunglasses?!?!?! I’m curious to know!!!!
I have a theory that they look like Homing and Rocinante's eyes, kind and empathetic, belaying a long, harsh time of suffering. They don't fit the dictator and "mafia don" that DoFlamingo became, nor the sociopath he was from childhood, so he keeps them on lockdown behind his signature sunglasses.
Bet you are happy for Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse winning the Best Animated Feature Oscar. You are the living "Spider Man" of the One Piece universe after all. Although, I would compare you to The Joker from DC first. For the record, he's been around since WWII, so you stole the code name from him, not vice versa.
Heh heh heh, theory of multiverses, Doffy. Too bad Oda didn't calculate for awareness of other planets and other timelines for your universe. you could have ruled over ten different Dress Rosa islands if you strung along the right people. (Pun not intended.)
Hey, you've been putting up great content recently, listening and interacting with your audience. You've earned a new patreon supporter. Btw that Luffy vs Katakuri video was the type of content I would want to make if I was on RU-vid. I know it must have took a lot of time to put together. Just some friendly encouragement to keep up the great work :)
Personally I always really liked the detail that every single technique Doflamingo used had the word "Ito" at the end in Japanese. Like parasite was "paras-ito" and so on, it's just really clever word play across his power set
@@thewindysage1538 other coincidences are that corazon means “heart” in spanish and that Donquixote is the name of a character in a famous Spanish novel (Donquixote de la Mancha)
I swear Oda took the most lame sounding fruit - string... And turned it into assassin level, hardcore like WTH is going on type of power. *Great review* Looking forward to you having 1 mil subscribers 🤗🤗🤗😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
@@hdofu I agree, imagine if Impel Down had someone with the hobi hobi no mi. Or a Cipher Pol agent, who are all trained to be deadly in hand to hand combat.
Mr GrandLineReview, congratulations on attaining 50,000 subscribers. The hard work that goes into your videos has been greatly appreciated by myself, and I'm sure many others too. Also, great job on this page of the encyclopedia. I am looking forward to the next one though. I'm imagining a human horse hybrid would look like a satyr, like Phil from Hercules (Disney) without the horns. Or a man with a horse mask 😂
Thank you very much! I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad that you're enjoying the channel! For the next entry, I did think of a satyr but there were other more likely mythological creatures...
And there he is with 50k subs! Congratulations, nakama, well deserved. Hope to witness the 100k mark as well. Great video of course and I'm glad you pointed out the amazing natural power of this fruit. Yet one must admit that Doflamingo seems to be pretty creative to have discovered those powers.
Next week is Pierre's fruit, the bird mount of Ganfall who ate a fruit that can transform him into a Pegasus. (He is a bird that ate a horse fruit, so Pegasus = hybrid form.)
another possible daily/business use would be for using/making pulley systems like engine/block lifts or light weight crane cables could sell for a nice bit of belli
U missed overheat, and string bullets abilities and final attack on Luffy(which I forgot the name)...Damm doflamingo... He is one hell of a character...
Well, overheat just seems to be a haki-flame-covered string. Not really necessary to explain as long as we know that you can use haki with the strings.
this is my favorite because it can help in real life we can lift things, travel through clouds, make clones, control people, cut anything and it looks really cool
At least it's not that other Ito Ito fruit, the one that turns you into a person capable of drawing horrific monsters and an insatiable need to make stories themed around body horror.
Im sorry this fruit is Ridiculous -Controlling a whole country making Range immeasurable -Using it to Fly -He doesnt need any motions or to physically be there to be controlling people almost like theyre on Autopilot -Making a Sentient Independent Puppet Clone WHAT!? -Birdcage makes zero sense. An admiral couldn’t Break it. If you argue it’s indestructible why arent all his strings that Strong? Why can Luffy break out of Doflamingos Control? Why the hell did he Keep King Riku alive? I have so many questions!
The birdcage is especially nonsensical. By what force is it retracting? Is he pulling on it with his own strength? If so, does that mean Doflamingo was literally stronger than everyone pushing against it combined and STILL had enough strength left over to continue to push and cut through buildings?
The speculation of the bird string is that its technique specific. It indestructible razor string that blocks out den den mushi signals but it can only be used in the form of the birdcage for the sake of these benefits.
4 taur guards of impel down were confirmed awakened during the escape from impel down and most likely so are the 3 admirals akainu kizaru and aokiji, akainu and aokiji changed punk hazard permanently. I'd even say crocodile is probably awakened to since he can seamlessly absorb moisture with his hand and it doesn't add bulk to himself
I wouldn't use it to cross the sea; it's not supersonic speed travel, and what happens when you're days into a string journey, and reach a calmed section with no clouds for miles?
You forgot the fact you can make a heat string implying that he can control the temperature of the strings to become either a incredible hot or incredibly cold string.( Even though hes never made a cold string before.)
Actually the attack names are just puns with the word "Ito": ParasaITO, Godo TurITO "god thread", Buraku NaITO "Black Knight", ObarITO "overheat". The anime that added the heat thing, It is not present in the manga.
it would be awesome if you could also control the sharpness of the strings, if you could do that, you could use them to say attach them to something far away and pull it towards you or manipulate things at a discance.
I wonder if it's not so much a case of his fruit being OP but more so that Doflamingo took the time to learn it. Maybe we're missing out on how ridiculously powerful the jacket fruit is because the user can't get their imagination past the fact they are turning into a jacket.
Doffy has jojo lv combat iq and pain tolerance, convinces me why it’s so cool when used because it’s being used to its fullest potentially like the rubber and mocha fruits
Oda very often drives home the notion that Fruits are just tools, and their strength and usability is often the result of their users own ingenuity. Buggy's fruit for example seems extremely underpowered compared to pretty much any other fruit, but is there real limitations to how you use it? His bara bara festival ability is quaint, but is it really just a few body parts he can detach? If the user of the bara bara no mi is creative enough, could they just detach every atom from their body and completely control all the pieces? The Bara Bara No Mi with the right user might became similar to a Logia in that the user would be rendered completely intangible by having all the bodies atoms unattached? Maybe to the point that armament haki would have no effect on the user because none of the atoms are attached to each other and all attacks, with haki or without would just push away all the atoms and their form could be reformed instantly, like fluid. So to return to the topic. Is the Ito Ito No Mi powerful, or is Doffy such a skilled user, that the fruit ascends any reasonable power grading?
I don’t think the strings are just strong because nothing. I would like to think that Doffy trained his devil fruit just like Luffy, which would mean when he first got it he would have tiny weak pieces of soft string at first. Overtime Doffy trained his devil fruit to the extent he displayed.
I have one question, what is that Overheat attack he used? I get he could compress the strings into a whip but that attack just seem like a mix between Doflamingos and Aces devil fruits.
