I like knowing what was happening as these shows were broadcast. During this batch of shows, America was fighting WWII in Africa, Italy, and the Pacific. Our parents and grandparents (the ones who weren't fighting) were praying, and writing to those who were... The greatest generation made big sacrifices to rid the world of Hitler and Tojo. America's greatness became apparent to the whole world.
