WOW...especially when you board for the first time, September 1 2016. Were told the lifts will shut down with the impending storm front reportedly coming this way per national Weather Service. They said you would have to weather it out if you do go up. The lifts would resume to get us off the mountain if it happens. We were close to closing time that day. Time 4:11 Temp 81F What did we do ? Walked the Cirque Trail from Waffle House to The Bistro with the impending storm coming. We did encounter high winds, and misting in the air, but the terror of the main cell just went little north of us.
Back in the summer of 2009, I hiked up Rendezvous Mountain from Teton Village. At that time, if you were to hike up the mountain you could get a free ride down to the Village on the Tram. Ask about this deal if you want some exercise and have a couple of free hours. While you are in Jackson Hole and want a good breakfast try out Bubba's Bar-B-Q Restaurant at the intersection of West Pearl Avenue and Flat Creek Drive. Ask for the Working Man's Special; it's fantastic, but not too many customers know about it because it's not on the menu - you have to know about it in order to ask for it. If you do, come back here and tell me how you liked it.
