The Jacobite 2012 features footage recorded during the last week of the season of operation. The service is operated by West Coast Railways and the video features LNER class K1, no.62005. Photographers who travelled to Scotland for the final week were rewarded with some stunning lighting and cold, still conditions for most of the week which enhanced the beautiful autumnal colours. My video includes some scenes at Fort William followed by the following locations on the journey to Mallaig;
Lochy Viaduct
Corpach
Loch Eil
Glenfinnan Viaduct and four of the Glenfinnan departures
Polnish Chapel
Loch non Uamh Viaduct
Between Beasdale no.2 and 3 Tunnels
Beasdale Station
Morar River Viaduct
Approaching Morar and Morar Station
On the return from Mallaig the K1 is seen at
Larichmore Viaduct
Loch Dubh
Climbing away from the shores of Loch Eilt
Approaching Glenfinnan Summit and finally crossing the Banavie Swing Bridge.
Thanks to West Coast Railways and members of N.E.L.P.G who make it all possible.
