Hey guys so I’m aware of the smoke detector in the background Sorry guys I actually fixed the smoke detector problem but these videos where recorded before that smh I’ve got maybe 15 videos that might have the smoke detector in the background 🤦‍♂️ so my apologies in advance.

Sput is really inspirational, even to the other too flight musicians he plays with like the incredible Larnell Lewis. His playing, the way he experiments with his gear (kinds of drums, setups, head choices etc), he's always evolving and pushing what he's doing and the groups of musicians he works with. He was one of the first players I saw experimenting with a "snom" as his first floor tom and then before you know it, everybody was repurposing an old snare to make a snom for their kit. Some of those fills he went for in this performance, absolutely bananas. So indictive of how he's always pushing and evolving contemporary drumming. Dude is the tip of the spear.
