I think the deep underlying problem is that a Fox/Sabonis duo isn’t good enough to make real noise in the Playoffs. Our ceiling is play-in with them two (first round exit or missing it altogether).

Kings need an athletic 3/4, not a 2 who plays no defense. And has a terrible contract. Forget LaVine. Move on.

If the Kings are going to do something big, they must do it now because that timetable for Fox and Sabonis is narrowing. At all costs, keep Malik. Then, go get a 3 or 4 with length, size, and hopefully with some attitude because one of the main issues with the Kings is that they're just nice guys, but no killer instincts tbh. They need a guy who does all the dirty work and loves it, a brute.

I agree - there's been a clear issue overall that most players are a liability on one side of the ball or the other. If Keegan can become more consistent offensively or Fox can be more consistent defensively (and as a whole honestly), that's going to make the biggest difference for us. So I agree that we need players that are going to impact both sides of the ball

Zach LaVine and Brandon Ingram are much closer in career accomplishments. But yet somehow Zach is a loser but BI is a winner? Hell nah. The SG position vital in the Kings offense due to the synergy with Sabonis. Get Zach in the Kings offense and he will be incredible. Defense wise he is better than Huerter.

We going to let Vivek make the decisions again? I’m 99% that his camp wanted LaVine. Let’s let Monte make the decisions. That starting lineup with LaVine would be an All time terrible defense. Let’s get some athletic forwards who can scrap

It really would not be terrible lol. He’s a better defender than Huerter. Ellis is not a starting two guard.

@@rp2808 The whole season everyone talked about how undersized the Kings were and you want to solve that problem by replacing Barnes with LaVine? That also completely locks your flexibility doing anything in the future including signing Fox to a super max.

@@joshcope11 you trade Barnes for LaVine and now you can beat the Pelicans. That’s how it is. Kings can go over the cap to sign Fox to a super max. LaVine’s contract is over in 3 years. He will have his contract restructured to be less after that. It’s a calculated risk, but one the Kings should take like how they did with Sabonis.
