I really likd this song.Im reallu deunk right nos and this song makes me feel way better. It makes me remember thay quote "without music, life would be a mistake" Indeed, my friend.
You know when you get into an artist but you're worried it's just a phase and you'll grow more and more disenamored with their music over time but each subsequent release just increases your confidence in them, yeah
Definitely. I even feared listening to the same songs over and over again for the same reason.. I don't wanna miss the feeling which I felt when I listened to the songs over and over some day
@@synthesizedsimurgh2127 they were actually discovered by Matty Healy more or less! He helped them get on Dirty Hit and has been pretty prominent in helping with their music
Funny how this was released pre-COVID but honestly feels like a remark on life during all of this; the same shit everyday. "It's the same thing, you're repeating yourself". Something has to change!!
"Something Has To Change" You caught the same train And you took it back to the same place You're back where you started It's the same thing You keep trying to do something different Over and over again Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change But it's the same thing You're repeating yourself and it's the same girl Who's giving you hell And it's the same face Your heart keeps breaking in the same place Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change And it's the same thing You're repeating yourself and it's the same girl Who's giving you hell And it's the same face Your heart keeps breaking in the same place Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change And you look back You go around in circles Your world feels just the same Your heart keeps breaking in the same way Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change Something has to change
This song is such a great commentary on how so many of us are living our lives in autopilot without an ounce of intention. We just fall back into the same cycles of emotional addiction and apathy and our loved ones just have to watch us not realize our potential as we continue to accept less than we deserve. Only we can break that cycle for ourselves. Ugh I LOVE YOU AMBER THANK YOU FOR BLESSING US WITH YOUR TALENTS
This song literally speaks to me. The “Something Has To Change” part because I like to live my life by playing it safe so I don’t get “hurt” or make a “mistake” so I over and over like the same things because I know they’ll never disappoint yet they still do because deep down inside my soul I want something to CHANGE for once, I always think it might be a man or love that’ll come along into my life and change it but I know it’s me that has to change, not expect it to change on its own...
I feel that. You constantly look back at your past and think how you could’ve easily just changed something, constantly telling yourself how dumb it was not to in fact. But then when it comes to the present you do the exact same as you have been doing this whole time. A vicious cycle.
You are not alone and this song reminds me of that when I see comments like this. fortunately, we can change ourselves but Unfortunately, we just cannot change others. I love this song because it clarifies all the power is within ourselves and really mirrors our ego. I am glad you have reached a certain state of consciousness where you have acknowledged what you want and need to change. You should read these two books Pixie. The art of "Effortless Living: Wu-Wei and the Spontaneous State of Natural Harmony' and 'The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations'. Based on your comment and name, I am certain it will add a couple pieces to the puzzle. Have a good day, Peace and love.
They are on the same indie record label, Dirty Hit only exception is The 1975 are no longer ‘independent’ as they have their music co-released by Polydor (UMG).
as someone who struggles with addiction, severe depression, and always placing my eggs in the singular basket of women who never feel the same as i do in the end: THIS SONG IS A TRIUMPHANT PROCLAMATION THAT NOTHING IS SET IN STONE thanks for your art
she's right! my life changed infinitely when I stopped going on the cycling machine, stacking cans and sitting in piles of my own clothes. you can do it kids
the fact that the song is just repeating the chorus over and over. and that the chords used are just on a loop. indeed something has to change. GENIUS!
This song really hits me in my heartpit, the routine feelings and not noticing youre doing the same things over and over, and when you do notice it feels too late, I keep falling in love with my ex but Im not doing anything to ease that pain or change something anything. This helps me feel a lot less alone though, shes so real and unapologetic, so raw and she doesnt put on a mask to please others.
Is it weird that I was expecting a video on a literal Japanese house being re-decorated? 🤔 Dont get me wrong, I'm glad it wasn't.... I have a new favourite song!!! 🥰😂
The 1975, Pale Waves, Lany, and now The Japanese House? I think the end of the world is coming soon and God is giving us pure love in this before killing us
As I thought, it isn't Jodie Comer in the thumbnail. But great band though. The first song i heard from them is used in Thirteen Reasons Why S1. I forgot the title. Lol.
This means a lot to me because I'm looking for a sign because I'm so tired with my work and my life. Facing the same faces --people, routine, problems. Never ending cycle. Something has to change. This song is right in so many levels.
Man... I've been binge-listening to their work Every single track is amazing... Half of me wants them to get the recognition they deserve, the other half wants them to be just mine.
