Aoe 4 ost is a big ommage to Total wars. it is funny. It has own unique aoe feeling, while i can feel the Total war spirit itself. While it is relic. it is like whole holy trinity of RTS combined.

I only wish AoE 4 was slower and had more regimental units than singular dude, I mean RTS games like BFME 2 adapted unit rather than single soldier.

Aoe 4 has coh soul inside, but you are right. COH or DOW as AOE 4 would work better..@@CapybaraConnoisseur89

@@CapybaraConnoisseur89They can't so that. The current gameplay in AOE is the same gameplay of every AOE until AOE4. Same from 1, 2, and 3. Changing the control and gameplay of AOE just to please abother player base is a disaster. And I doubt the playerbase of game like BFME 2 is larger than AOE. If you want BFME 2, make a BFME 2.

Not quite the "One Hei" that makes you wanna charge into a spearwall from Shogun2. But this certainly high up there among Japanese Combat music. Just something about Japanese war music that really emphasizes the meaning of war. Must be the Taiko drums.

Thanks for releasing the new OSTs! How do you get them from the game? Do you mute all audio and record them from the game?

For the aoe4 soundtracks, the soundtrack comes in .wem files that can be extracted and converted. All the music comes in sections or layers of ~1 min each, so I also need to manually splice them together to get whole pieces of music

@@borgri5871Mainly finetuning and editing layers in Audacity and listening to them repeatedly. And practice, so you can kind of match tempos or find good spots for the new layer to blend in

I wish they make a campaign for the Japanese soon starting with the Genpei wars with Minamoto and Benkei all the way to the beginning of the Edo period when firearms were introduced.
