Check out the harp from this week's harp build. It is always a good day to jaw harp. #jewsharp #mouthharp #morchang #morsing #murchunga #maultrommel #guimbarde #brumle #doromb #parmupill #vargan #drymba
I probably won’t repeat the long grind in this one unless I want it to be super flexible. The first quarter unprofiled really gives the harp a nice snap.
I got my Berezenko Vibrant harp from you guys in the mail yesterday. It's really nice and sounds amazing. Thanks for all the hard work you do and the videos.
I wonder how different a Jaw Harp would sound against zirconium teeth? Ha ha... I found your channel because someone had posted a picture of an old jaw harp (minus the reed) they found metal detecting. I started searching to see if they could replace the reed, and watched one of your videos where you made a reed....now this one. Makes me want to give it a try myself.
Bro makes Jaw Harps! And sells them on a website! And people buy them! And he plays them...a channel literally all about Jaw Harps. A one note, tuned percussion instrument that is like thousands of years old. And people say A.I. is going to take over art 🤦 No seriously how I found you is that East West Quantum Leap RA, a virtual sample library has a Jaw harp in it. So I actually made a couple of riffs of a Japanese Industrial Folk Metal song by accident, added a Jaw harp which goes very well with a didgeridoo rhythm by the way, but in order to compose for an instrument like that I literally need to look up quick tutorials on how to play it. Then people recommend muting rhythms and boingy sustains lol kind of like a heavy metal guitar. That's when I knew I had to use a Jaw harp lol. That's how I found you. But hey man, very cool and unique hobby man. Keep on it. You're keeping history alive!
Been watching your videos for a while now. I want to buy a Dan moi but I'm worried your shop doesn't ship to South Africa, can you verify this for me? Thanks
For the history and many dozens of names and styles of these instruments that are over 3,000 years old check out this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nat7iKiud3M.htmlsi=c0_FuYAv68BM7K6S
Yes, Rusty Shackleford would be totally jamming on the theremin, but alas he was busy. He is out looking for his invisible hat. He is always losing that thing.
