I love my mustard cat! There was a roundtable discussion on The Athletic with some Preds alumni this week and they haaated them. They were hot and the material was horrible but they actually seemed to play well and win in them!
Tri star on the shoulder is for Tennessee state flag each star represents the 3 biggest cities in TN Knoxville(born and raised Go Vols) Nashville and Memphis
@@thornvfx As am I thank you for clarifying that for me by the way I knew it represented the regions as well but I just thought the stars themselves represented the cities so thank you sir I always love to learn
I love the little touches on the current preds unis, the piano keys, the guitar pick with the 3 stars from the Tennessee state flag. They’re beauties even if they hurt my eyes to look at
I actually love the Winter Classic secondary, and really wouldn't mind it becoming the main logo. The current logo just feels a little...dated, I guess? Like, it's better now than it was in 1998, but like it's still an exaggerated angry animal logo. The WC version feels a bit more timeless.
I’m a Preds fan and I’ve lived in Nashville my whole life. I hate yellow. Awful color. But when 18,000 people wear it together in an arena, it changes my mind haha. It looks awesome and different. But as soon as I’m in my car driving home, I hate the yellow again. It’s a love/hate relationship tbh
I have a blue and silver with white one and has a championship patch on it . Can you give me a little info about that one as I don’t know much about it?
The 3 star design in the guitar pick is one of the seals of the state of TN. I don't know if it's the official one but it's what is right in the middle of the state flag.
Maybe somebody else told you this already but the Predators aren't the first to make yellow their dark color -- the Boston Bruins did this in the 50s and 60s, and occasionally in retro jerseys like in the 2009 winter classic
The predators should have a blue jersey as their home, white for away and yellow for a 3rd. The winter classic jersey would be so much better if the word mark was replaced by the shoulder patch logo, and i think if they replaced their current logo with the winter classic one it would be better looking.
THG, as a Preds fan I am surprised how much we are on the same page. Definitely agree the old homes look better than the new ones, and I 100% prefer the new road whites over the new homes. Also I think, like you, that they should have used the WC logo much more - it looks great!
Nashville Predators best jerseys we're their first ones. Don't like the merigold on their homes and that mustard yellow third are ugly. It's very ugly if Shannon says they're ugly. Winter classic is passable but could of featured the predator patch more. Nashville's look overall took time for me to accept it but the first jerseys we're the best ones.
I love (and own) 2 of the Mustard Cat Jersey. I wear it to most games i go to. You should have mentioned the RARE Prototype White Edge 1.0 from 2011, because the Preds should have gone with that design!
The new marigolds would look great with navy shoulders. I would love to see that winter classic come back with the secondary logo front and center. I would even like to see what it would look like with the regular primary on there and maybe use that as the new away
I love the Nashville Predators. But, our jersey history is ehhh at best. I have really liked some and others are terrible. I loved the dark blue jersey with the checkers at the bottom. It is easily my favorite jersey I own. I refuse to spend my money on their pure yellow monstrosity that they wear currently. I will say though, a ton of people don’t enjoy the winter classic jersey, but I really like it. As always... Lets go Preds!
I was so let down by the Nashville Winter Classic Jersey. I was going to buy both Dallas and Nashville since it was the first WC I went to, but I thought Nashville's was just plain ugly. I get it's a throwback, but I think they could have done so much more.
As much as I dislike our current home jersey (I liked the Reebok one though), I think it’ll be a long time if ever that they switch away from gold home colors as every fan in Nashville has one now, and it’s become their identity.
Blessed perfection. The gift we don't deserve. The only true joy that can be found in our wretched miserable existences. Look at it and hear it sing.It will carry you home and gently put you to sleep. Soon.So Soon.
