In this video, I'm going to delve into why jet ventilation (high frenquency jet ventilation) is considered the best in managing Pulmonary Interstitial Emphysema (PIE) and how it actually works on PIE.
Firstly, jet ventilators are known for their versatility. They allow high-frequency ventilation and lung expansion, while still giving a passive exhalation, which is crucial in treating PIE. I'm going to cover the unique flow mechanics and the settings that we use with the Jet ventilators.
Secondly, jet ventilation helps to ventilate non-aerated alveoli while maintaining minimal pressure, preventing further alveolar damage, thus making it "gentler." This mechanism is a little different than the oscillator.
Join us and learn how these features combine to position the jet ventilator as the ideal solution for managing Pulmonary Interstitial Emphysema!
