This is the quintessential tremolo song!!! Johnny Marr didn't use pedals or amp tremolo? He used some studio wizardry.
@axisluke
@axisluke 5 лет назад
Actually, I believe it WAS a fender amp tremolo, but it was applied to the guitar track after recording, by re-amping the signal. The studio engineer had to manually adjust the speed as the track went along to keep it in time with the rest of the track.
@asparagusbear3323
@asparagusbear3323 5 лет назад
Yeah, I read he used 4 fender twins. I didn't know some twins have tremolo. but that makes sense. Do you know which twins had tremolo? A combination of amp and studio wizardry :-)
@sweetntenderhooligans1649
@sweetntenderhooligans1649 5 лет назад
They most likely used mid-70s 100 Watt Twins which Johnny was known for using live (aswell as the Roland JC120, and the Fender Pro Reverb, amongst others)

It's great to see someone making something that they're excited about, being totally sincere in their marketing and, being totally open to recommending other people's work. Just makes you feel good inside! Keep up the good work JHS! I hope to get my hands on the Kodiak soon!

Just got mine this year and I'm in love with it. I'm a bass player and with my Walrus Slo I can get some spooky sounds for the low end. But honestly, of all the pedal overviews I watch (and I've watched quite a few, taking notes as I go). This was one of the most clear and and concise videos I've ever seen. JHS, y'all never disappoint!

I just have to say that I am very impressed by the way that recommend brands other than your own. This demonstrates to me your complete confidence in your product and it also says that you are just a VERY cool guy. I got an Angry Charlie V2 ( my very first JHS pedal) a couple of months ago and it's just freakin' awesome. It pretty much turns any amp into the greatest Marshall you've ever heard. ;) While I am not in the market form a Tremolo pedal the moment...
