All the best John, I’m 71 myself and was lucky enough to see the Classic Rock Show before last years lockdown one of the best concerts I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot starting with the Stone’s in 1966, if you get chance treat yourself and go to one of their concerts you won’t regret it, all the best John take care.
I was a kid when Hendrix hit the scene and when you’re listening the Monkey’s and Paul Revere and the Raiders and the Beatles, etc. and then here come’s Jimi with this SH!T we were all just blown away. My older brother took me to see him live in Tulsa June of 1970 and that started my love for music right then and there.
How could you ever replace Howie......... Pete Thorn answered that question, and he did a outstanding job. I would pay to see either one, both great people and great performers.
@@sine-nomine That was funny ,but seriously hendrix would be unreliable by modern standars but had a soul that none can touch.Always truthful. You won´t see that anymore.Everyone it´s centered in how the are perceived, trying to be realiable and the truth got lost.Actors acting ain´t people being...
@@jjyourface Howie is a really great musician, I was devastated when he quit the band, but with Pete Thorn replacing him the band goes on and will continue to do great things. Howie G the former guitarist you like has his own web site on RU-vid and you can subscribe and keep tabs on his latest projects as well. I have played guitar for 47 years and have the utmost respect for both of these guitarists.
The first time I went to see The Classic Rock Show I was really looking forward to seeing Howie but Pete had taken over and he was brilliant I have seen them three times since then and cant wait for next year when I am taking nine friends with me boy are they in for a treat
Its in Pete's blood to play guitar yes but he has had to learn his trade with the best of them and make sacrifices. Best of all he is a real nice guy and humble with his achievements.
Derek Tinkler agree he is amazing on that guitar. My 17 year old grandson has done a version of this on acoustic guitar. Would really love to know what you think of it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xC2hcwXot-k.html
Was at this gig, awesome performances right across the board. Exceptionally accomplished artistes who cover every aspect of the rock genre. As close as you can get to the originals, just brilliant.
Still a super line up, and Pete is a good replacement for the legend that is Howie G. Brilliant Drums and Bass too and a decent vocal. Well done you guys.
Me too…they just popped up on my recommended and wow these guys can virtually play anything with the precision of the original artists. Easily the best cover band I’ve ever seen 👍👍
Pete you really knocked it outta the park there!!! Been a fan for ever 10 years, and follow your youtube channel, but this is really a sweet addition!! Everyone in this band is over the top excdellent!
Four versions for me. The first was Steve Lukather (who is how I learned about SRV then Jimi) and now Pete Thorn. Kind of went in reverse order for me.
