Cardi B said herself multiple times on video that she doesn’t care about lyrics, she doesn’t care about writing, she is only in the game to make money and be on the charts. When you look at her song credits she has a longggg list of writers on each song. She’s never been about hip-hip foreal, she hit a lick like Mal said. It's funny cause it goes both ways... Sometimes I wish Mal would shut the fuck up but today it was Joe. It's hard to make a solid argument when you don't listen to your opponent. Mal was absolutely right today but he should have said that Cardi is a hustler... she's out for money first and foremost. It's not about her having a love for music, that was just a vehicle to the money. If that leads her to another vehicle that can get her more money, then the music will take a back seat. Joe, you’re wrong about pop music not “working” for Nicki. Her pop sound is what made her an international star. She stopped doing that type of music now because music has changed. Pop dominated when Nicki debuted.. not so much now. She also got dragged by the hiphop community for showing her versatility by doing pop 🙄
