Dee -1 is absolutely right and good for him pointing out the hypocrite rappers. Dee -1 is qualified and he does great things for the community. Shame on Flip and Joe you who's only defending their rapper friends. Dee - 1 didn't put these rappers down and put the mirror in their face. AND he did say the message at first with kindness, then they came back at him with clown behavior. Van Lathan knows Dee-1 and says good things about him. This is not a music conversation but it's a conversation about musicians are apart of the down fall to our young kids. Shame on me I can't stop watching JBP - LOL
Dee 1 is an ex-teacher who decided he could make a bigger impact through music... hes been an artist for over a decade ... hes done music with large artist like Game and is a better artist than most mainstream artist
@@Musa-ut6ce you’re bored with the fact the convo needs to keep happening because change is needed? Prison reform, our kids running to Lucifer? Stay tuned out fam. Respectfully.
Mel being the only one not checking up on Joe and Texting Flip instead and Flip snitching on the podcast so everyone can find out is exactly what I needed on this Thursday 😂
When Joe said he know some men that don't get head from their wives because it looks demeaning. An Parks said that shit sounds depressing, i almost died 😂😂😂
Flip corny for trying to make this a race thing with Rory. Rory thought Flip was being disrespectful to his friend so he said something. How you make that a race issue is beyond me but Flip found a way and he lame for it.
Honestly, artist need to appreciate they even got people to support them in the first place. She wouldn’t have a show to do if she didn’t have any fans to begin with
Dee 1 was wrong about the effectiveness of his selected targets. Addressing rap has been done before. The problems in the community existed before gangster rap.
@LurnWell no, he wasn't wrong and the increase of black on black gun violence has increased over the years. Beside the message in music is more than just gun violence, it's money mismanagement, treatment of women and overall how people conduct themselves in public. Dee 1 gain notoriety from a song that discuss paying off a student loans. This led to multiple corporation events, tours and dealing one of one with the young to bring them a positive message and giving a better outlook on life. Most of these rappers preach one thing but live a completely different life out of there art, which art in most case if a reflection of that person experience. I'm standing with d1 on this one
@@fearless798 He was wrong about his targeting, because I'm in touch with the youth and none of them are motivated by Rick Ross, Meek, or Jim Jones... And when he was asked about this in a new interview, he copped a plea and said "if yall knew better people, why yall didn't call them out". He just doesn't want to admit he chose them, because they were currently buzzing on the internet. He doesn't want to admit he's dependent on "secular" media strategies. We have a whole drill movement going, and that's his best picks? Most of these rappers are actual gang members or affiliates influencing these kids..."Their age"... Your entire argument about rappers living different lives is outdated. That's the problem, and he can't see it either. The community doesn't have enough knowledge on the topic, because so many are suburbians tired of feeling uncomfortable about street music. You have to get to the base of the problem, and avoiding that to discuss rappers that actually help the community isn't smart.
JOE NEEDS SECURITY ASAP.i know he says he has it now. This man was EASILY found twice in multiple days. His life is on the line. He needs to move completely differently
Facts he’s a clown. But also JOE is one of the biggest hypocrites in hip hop. We made a mistake making him rich. He’s a terrible voice for the community. He’s self serving in all his ways. I hate the way He mentions God not playing about Him as if God supports his lifestyle.
Dee-1 is A Rapper 1st. Dee-1 has been rapping for probably 10yrs no less than 5. He's not on no small platform talking SWAY. He's a Harvard Professor. And in similar circles with people a lot of people y'all know. This is crazy. Y'all don't probably listen to CHH(Christian Hip Hop)
Bruh, Dee-1 is not a podcaster. He’s a rapper and read his whole résumé in the video. He told people to tag Ross AFTER Ross got offended and tried to question his character. I get you may not know who he is, but he does have the qualifications to call these guys out. They know who he is enough to respond to him from a Sway interview. It could have died right there, but it clearly hurt Ross feelings of he felt the need to make fun of him on IG lol
It's crazy that they had the conversation about dee1 without any one of them looking him up. He's a rapper and activist out of New Orleans who had some buzz in the early 2010s. He's always had the same message. Even in his old music. And has definitely earned the right to say whatever it is he wants to about what happens in the culture.
Dee-1 is a rapper, which I think changes the conversation. If he’s just a podcaster that it looks like a clout chase but as a rapper who’s done this with his own career. He can say that, but art is an expression. So I don’t think you have to imitate life. This almost goes back to the Drake convo. When will the bars grow up
That conversation about Drake was stupid and so is this one. Lol I am glad people realize it's stupid when it starts coming for the "art" that they love. No one is telling Pusha T to grow up and he is older than Drake still rapping about pretending to sell drugs. It would be dumb to tell him to change what he is good at, the same way it was dumb to tell Drake to "grow up" in his music.
@@Musa-ut6ceit sparked some kind of notice cuz this same convo was talked about with cole and yachty. it’s the same ole thing that’s y hip hop is struggling atm.
Dee-1 was absolutely correct he only pointed Rick Ross and Meek Mill out because they are spearheading a campaign against prison reform and at the same time putting out lyrics that will have the youngins sent to prison. He only responded when Ross made a statement about it. The tagging part came to spark a discussion. It’s all love the for the betterment of our people.
Dee 1 is 100% wrong. Music is music. Black people that commit crimes aren't doing it because of rap music. Don't be stupid. Stop thinking black people are a bunch a idiot monkeys. That's pure racism and you know it.
Dee 1 that dude. Respect on Ish n Ice for standing morals on that topic. I don’t believe he was clout chasing for a new audience. His point was amplified because of the names and mission accomplished. Plus his music is 🔥🔥🔥
I always thought clout chasing meant looking to gain popularity for self. If clout chasing includes ya message being heard by the masses as prime objective then that’s news to me
I like Ish on the pod. He definitely comes with a more realistic approach. I can’t believe Joe spent more emphasis on the messenger (D1), instead of the actual message .
Joe & Flip Both need to stop saying disrespectful things, inviting negative energy their way. When your up like they are up, you should be happy living your Best Life having fun on Exotic Islands, fighting in the Strip Club should be way off the table lol
Dee-1 is more than a podcaster. He’s a musician, speaker, community activist and teacher amongst other things. Do more research. And I also get that some of their tales are just jokes and podcasting and that’s part of the problem.
Shout out to Dee 1. They don't know who he is because he is a Christian rapper. He's doing what other christians are supposed to be doing calling out evil.
1:52:45 It’s not belittling downgrading clowning downplaying or clout chasing when it’s true!!! if that’s the case, your clout chasing when you act like you love Megan’s new record so much but spent the past three years trashing her. Or when you belittle or speak on any other topic for that matter, does that make you clout chasing since you have a podcast and you want the views? Cmon Joe terrible take. Two things you have to stop using as a crutch, “that’s hate” and “clout chasing.” Your top2 overused takes. Luv ya tho
Joe arguing against his own past points as usual lol Joe please hire some 7 feet, oily one hitter quitters asap. We need you protected on this mission my guy. 💪
During State of Culture show he had security, idk why he isn't hiring security.. he's too big and important to not be safe out here. I hope he knows that.
Saying Dee-1 is clout chasing is silly, you didn't hear the clip and don't know who or what he's already done. He has a strong resume in music and activism. Gotta do some research before you just say somebody is clout chasing.
Then why is he so wrong about the topic? When the crime rate was going down for 10 years, where was he and did he credit rap music for decreasing the crime rate?
@@mckenleymason1212 Go do your research champ Dee-1 has been active in the streets and musically the same way he is now. You're on the internet responding to this so you might just want to google.
Spend a whole 20+ minutes talking about somebody and no one picked up they phone to 'look up the person' while talking about being 'qualified' Hilarious is the most decent word that comes to mind.
Frfr he only pay attention to the ignorant rapper so you can’t be surprised in the ones that’s very very popular. He ain’t a real hip-hop fan like he claim he is.
1:50:54 Parks ….is right!! Dee 1 has been giving this message out without mentioning names ….you’ve never spoke in Dee 1 on your show BUT once he gives that message attach to popular names now look!!
@@cookiemonster64Why the fuck wouldn’t he tell Joe? What type of bitch made shit is that? It’s his pod, he employs everyone there, it’s his friend for like 15 yrs, etc.
The JBP gets me thru my work day and my weekends. I love when I see the uploads. I’m definitely about to become a Patreon member cause I be mad when the podcast ends. I click so fast on RU-vid to watch the episodes
On the dee 1 topic, i 100 percent stand with him. The messages these artists are putting out and the life the live on a daily basis is completely opposite. For example, i couldn't listen to offsite album talking about flying out chicks and this at that when hes married. It's completely bs
Dee-1 is a Christian rapper; that’s important in this conversation. He’s not chasing clout…he’s speaking directly to those people. He put a name on the bullets…y’all usually love that.
That Dee-1 take is some real shit, fact of the matter is ppl will chase the money over change at the end of the day smh. Which matters more after we're gone.
And that's what makes Dee 1 corny. If he wanted Meek to pick one, why does it have to be that Meek rap about positive stuff only? That's wack of him to do and say as an artist.
Parks was complaining along with savon and dude, but he conveniently left himself out when he told Joe. Now all of a sudden everyone was tired of each other after he finally gets Mercedes Benz money 😂 you can’t make this up.
My friend was there and he said when dude threw that first punch he screamed "FOR ALL THE DOGS" we know who sent that smoke at you Joe...we know 😂😂😂😂 I'm just joking btw😂😂😂
Dee1 is very qualified. Rapper, podcaster, educator, teacher, like literally a teacher with a whole ass masters degree. He didnt shit on them niggaz he stated the obvious that alot of us think in private.
@@gamingwithfly9868 the drake critique episode didn’t make it to RU-vid at all. You’re reading too deep into it. Some episodes go strait to Patreon and nowhere else. That’s the point.
Honestly when it comes to relationship/children conversations they should stop trying to argue with Flip he’s literally the only one in a marriage that has raised children.
