I still remember the night of the event. Sadly, in the country I live the event didn't happen at midnight but instead at like 3am, I'm also quite the opposite of a night owl so I was very tired and still had to wait hours for the event to start. Later, I had a meltdown because of something personal that happened and I was so emotionally drained from it that I just gave up and went to bed. It was the best decision ever because I had the best sleep in my life, woke up to the announcement of my favorite part, and discovered the event was terrible anyways lmao.

Oh well. At the very least we got Joestar Radio out of all this.

Just seen SO vol 1 up for preorder for us in the states. I was excited for the last golden wind vol for my birthday, but to see SO now coming in manga form too later... kinda shocked its coming so soon, I was expecting about half a year more at least with the way things been going. I already red fan translations so Im more excited for the fact were moving forward than actually reading it. I will be getting it though. Makes me wonder... could we possibly get SBR anime announced in the next few months? For so long it seemed like an impossible hope and I often wondered if I would even see it in my lifetime, let alone dare hope for Jojolion. So far this is being a big year for me with manga, getting to complete golden wind, getting in to Thus spoke Kishibi, and even start officially SO, and then later... the last delux vol of Berserk. While I think I get why people would be mad, I still don't understand why the hype of the show was "THIS IS THE REVEAL OF EVERYTHING PART 6", I looked at it live and had fun while it was happening by the funny subtitles and seeing cool stuff of the production, the live scenes were also a very cool thing to see, I always went with the expectation of it being just a nice paid event for the fans and enjoyers of the show and franchise, not an entire paid advertisement, specially when everything promoting it never even showed anything of part 6 or Jolyne, saying this was 40$ for a png feels like a disrespect to everything this was actually supposed to be

Make sure the option isn't there when you throw it up. By not having the option, make it cheaper than a single piece of candy from those bins! Because all of is will be watching. Trust me, 10-15 cents, oh sorry inflation happened, 30-40 cents for an anime season is not much but it's also a lot of people who watch. In this day and age that kinda thing should be easy. Making such a business model would save Japan's workforce so so so much heartache and stress. Raise the quantity and quality and the lower pricetag won't even matter. I would pay for every single anime if every season costed under a dollar or euro.

Can't agree on the piracy argument, for one, companies already account for this. For the other end, one piece, dragonball exist, they are quite literally money printers and that has not stopped toei from putting out things of... let's just say incredibly questionable quality using those IPs. Supporting the official release is something I can get behind, as far as the official release existing in:} -A manner that isn't overly inconvenient (multiplatform streaming can go sit in a fire until it turns to ash) -Idiotically expensive (bluray in most cases, tough I believe it's not particularly so for early jojo so long as you're an american, european or japanese fan, you're SoL anywhere else) -Exists at all (p6 onwards manga) -Personal preference, but I do not enjoy figurines, no hate for anyone that does. It goes all the way back to a phrase said by a big guy who runs a small videogame platform called "steam", claiming piracy can be heavily attributed to a service issue, and boy oh boy do a lot of japanese media products have *glaring* service issues. And this is without mentioning how I can't even ethically recommend their products when they go out of their way to "scam" the audience, at that point I would not only make a conscious effort to avoid mention of it to friends and acquaintances, I will go out of my way to "scam" you back by donning an eyepatch and a toy parrot.
