as someone who has never ever farmed a day in my life let alone even been on a tractor i cant help but binge watch your videos for the past two weeks.......its so intresting to the point ive told my dad to start watching you aswell because your so informative on what your doing to people like me who have no idea whats going on i personally love watching the combine run that things a technological marvel
Make sure and share to anyone ya think benefits from this knowledge. Everyone should know how much goes into this "field" I farmed as a boy, and as a man now, I love tractor videos, and Zach does em' best!
It's not my show, but welcome aboard anyway! You won't find better farming content IMHO. And we only need 50K more people like you to get that dog a cab ride!😃
That is cool that you are liking farming my whole life I've loved it and I don't have a farm nor tractor, I suggest to watch farming with duffyag and 10th generation dairyman aswell. They both are very very awesome to watch you learn to fix machines and go in depth of the dairy side of farming.
I know time flies when in good company, but I still believe we're only end Oct./early Nov. 😊 Thanks for great videos, and best wishes for the rest of the season.
Ive been watching your videos for years now and really enjoy them. Ive picked up “pilot references” in the past but never realized you fly. I’m a commercial airline pilot for UPS, also an avid hunter, and help out on a 1200 acre farm near me in DE. Keep up the good work!!
Gosh the time moves fast in Minnesota, it's already the end of November 😉 It's all the stuff around the "sitting in a tractor" that it takes to operate a farm that's both the most interesting for me but also I think is the most important to show the uninitiated! Great job Zack! 🇸🇪
I just want to take the time out to thank you, just realized my f250 is flexfuel and since I'm stuck driving it all the time while my daughter has my car paying 2.79 a gal has been really great instead of the $4+ Thank you corn farmers
Your directions are the single most Minnesotan thing ever, brought me right back home even though I’ve lived in the PNW for 30 years. Love your content.
Now we know for sure that you're in your own place and time. You're a whole month ahead of everyone else. Drove a semi for 20 yrs. So much of the time I couldn't tell you the day of the week but I knew the date mainly because of the deliveries I'd be making. Awesome video as usual. Take care and be safe. 🚜🚜🚜
The editor is awesome, thanks Becky u make your husband and father team shine, I'm hooked! Keep up the fantastic content, can't wait until the boys go on another field trip! May I suggest central Florida,. The hurricane has decimated the citrus industry here it's unfortunate!
Your harvests are getting easier & quicker as each year passes, that isn't done to luck but due to all the hard work & dedication your team puts in, I think we can all see that & you deserve every bit of the success you've all created, well done team Johnson! 😎🇬🇧
I remember watching last year’s harvest. You had entire fields of corn blown down with storm damage. It was a real mess! This year looks like a cakewalk compared to that. You look like you are really enjoying this harvest.
So, Zach, you've been holding out on us and finally revealed that you have a Pilot's License! I'm a Boeing 747 pilot and I've flown over your farm many times when I flew Chicago to Anchorage. Hey! We are watching you down there!!!! LOL As for spending time in the chair, longest 747 flight was 18.6 hours! Miami to Incheon. Longest flying work day - 36 hours! That was when I flew C-5s in the military. We spend lots of hours in our big equipment, just like you when you guys are combining. You take care and all my best to you and your family! Hope and pray that everything comes together for your family after all the storm damage.
Zack, I am a former commercial pilot and flight instructor. I recommend you check out Dan Gryder's AQP information here on youtube. It is scenario-based training that will help keep you safe. This is an approach to training that is not a part of FAA training or checkrides. It is much closer to what the airlines teach their pilots. Which aircraft are you currently flying?
@@TFT-bp8zk Yes....there's about one fatal accident every day in general aviation here in the United States. No one is going to change that.... except pilots. The accident that can't be avoided is less than a fraction of a percent of all of the accidents, which means that training brings safety, and brings pilots home to their families after every flight. If you don't believe me, watch Dan Gryder's channel and the blancolirio channel and you'll find out.
Grew up in SE NE, and worked on the farms around town, mostly throwing hay, walking beans, detassling corn, and this brings back memories, so I enjoy watching these. I am wondering if you are living in the future, as you said you were coming up on the end of November.... but we just started November????
I knew farmers was working on a different time scale then everyone else.. But I did not expect them to be a whole month ahead - finishing up the harvest near end of November already - when its only the 2nd of the month today.. man.. that's amazing
Zack, sometime after harvest would you (or someone) comment about the pros & cons of the IVT vs the Power shift transmission. I’m in the market for a bigger tractor. Thank you Becky for all you do to keep the family, farm & videos going. We greatly appreciate the education about & enthusiasm for farmers - I am one.
I've been noticing this for a couple of years now, but it's pretty insane how similar your weather is to the weather where I live, almost 4500 miles away. You get a hot week, so do we. You get a dry summer, so do we. The only thing we almost never get is snow, well and tornadoes thankfully. So for both our sakes, I hope you get a beautiful winter.
I am a millennial, have being a farmer for a short while.. until i discovered our government is shutting down the farms... but your humor is the same as mine and i love it. thank you. mutch thnx for a New Yorker in the Netherlands...
I wanted to say thank you for the videos. This really looks like something I'd love to do. I'd hate milking, daily animal chores are just that, a chore, but running tractors, combines, planters, tillage, etc... I'd love that. Sadly, the family farm is only 200Acres, the neighbor rents the land, and even if he didn't, there would be no way I could afford to get into doing any of this with the cost of farming these days. I live vicariously through your videos.
I was an ag mechanic for several years and it was always fun trying to find out where the customers were located. “We’re at the Johnson Farm, just around the corner from the old Smith place. They used to have a big old 2 story house but it burned years ago.” Ok….so where’s your combine???
Just got the wet bin full on our farm here in Grant County, Indiana! Small break before we change fields. Averaging around 17%, so a quick run through the dryer before into the bin. Love your videos!
The midwest descriptions of places is always fun. Like when we deer hunt. "I'm gonna go to the tree by the creek where Dave shot that buck back in 2013". Even though it's 200 acres of woods, everyone knows exactly the stand you are talking about.
Dumb & Dumber... Lloyd going the wrong direction thought he should've seen mountains at that point says , " That John Denver is full of shit man".. Classic ! And , after he trades the van for a mini bike he says , "I've got room for one more on this hog".. My all time favorite comedy ..
I only had 177 bushel corn this year and came out of the field at 14.8-16.1% but I didn’t have a single load with a test weight under 60 which was very surprising. My corn also got planted in wetter conditions than I would have liked.
I can’t get on a tractor anymore so I find myself binge watching this channel and living vicariously through Zack. I thoroughly enjoy this channel and have been working back while keeping current on this year.
Been watching you for years Zach .. I’m currently catching up on 6 months of videos .. Couldn’t watch while I was In Florida .. Better entertainment than cable
Gday from Australia mate! I recently found your channel after playing farm simulator 22 and I’m loving the informative content here! Watching every day, makes me want to move over and apply for a job if you have any openings 😊 all the best mate 👍
As an ex-County Extension Agent, I understand exactly what “the South field by Jim Mosel’s place” means. I received directions like that many times, and eventually learned the names of the families.
I remember while active duty coast guard back in 2014 we got a brand new f450 and it has the government juice and the truck always smelled like marshmallows . Also we found out if you run out of DEF .. pissing in the DEF tank will get you by till a gas station
You were trying to say you won the lottery and going to spend it all on the farm redoing the shop bins and fuel. Non farmer here wish i knew how to start this back in highschool because i would of loved working this
Also, I love your movie quotes. Those are all the movies I grew up with and my wife says I don't have an actual personality, its just a construct of movie quotes, TV references, and memes that became sentient. lol
Glad to see that at the very least regardless of the lower yield your making up for it with great harvest weather and higher efficiency with the dry corn
