Very cool. I’m a purple belt now but when rolling with John, I legit feel like a white belt and all he does is lay down in the iron pillow position literally without moving at all lol

@@pauljeanmedia i could be wrong here but for some reason i recall him teaching that posture as a defense of being crossfaced if your gaurd gets passed maybe around 200-2001. It didnt have a name back then as nothing was really named yet. Its a sick posture its always a safe place for me to revert to if im getting worked on or gassed. I need to work on attacking from there. Is that what John does?

@@Seegie16 So he'll usually start the sparring session from that position without any guard play and let the person on top try to attack until he feels like recovering guard and sweeping. It's hilarious cuz after a few attempts, most of us are dumbfounded and can't really do anything.
