@@haroldmouland6478 This is only half true, but ultimately, yes, I agree. But what will we do _after_ we raise dread Cthulhu the world eater and he wishes to end the world? Because I have season tickets to the Chicago State Cougars home games. (Thank the good lord I live in Nebraska, know what I mean?) Anyway, happy fourth, God bless.
@@THE-id1by No, I get that it was supposed to look a little "trashy", then, but we are so used to seeing roots and bright-blonde now, that it doesn't "read" the same, and actually looks pretty tame, for 80's hair. Doable.
@@JeromeProductionsHe’s supposed to be the smart one and yet he never gets what he wants where girls are concerned, that’s gotta be _really hard!!_ 😉☺️😆
@@ozrob8726honey, I’m pretty “woke” and this is one of my favorite shows ever. Calling you out for being racist or misogynistic isn’t an agenda someone is pushing. It’s telling you to be a decent person.
Cosby hated it wanted cancel it. The irony of today Cosby pardoned from rape prison etc not innocent pardoned! Ie got away w it! Meanwhile al is the star of modern family 😂😂
@@quigonkenny you were too young to see the 70s shows. Like all in the family. Archie bunker paved al bundys path. He was even a bigot. Yet was kissed on cheek mid picture by Sammy Davis Jr to his amazement suprised shock. His wife "dingbat" his daughters husband fill in the blank etc lol. Great shows. An there were black versions like good times an the militant midget younger son. 😂
@@quigonkenny For sure. Seinfeld is so over rated. Beauty of the show was it represented real people vs shows like Family Ties were the entire show is Ozzie and Harriet moments.
No' That 70s show' was the greatest. Although it depends on your taste and what you find funny. Some say Friends was the greatest comedy but it was mostly women found that show funny .
@@patrickball2493 No it wasn't mostly found funny by women. Where did you get that statistic? And while that sentence is sexist on its own, why do you say it like more "women" finding it funny wouldn't be legit?
@@toadkillerdog9466 Yeah, I know that, and she's got MS, but what makes her brave for her cancer going away? I would agree she's a strong person, but I've never understood why people say someone is "brave" when they get a disease, and they happen to beat it, for now, and live. If it would've killed her, would she have been a coward?
@@Krullmatic She was diagnosed with with Multiple Sclerosis a number of years ago and has been very open in sharing the experience and encouraging other people with the disease. 😊
Honestly I’m surprised no one has tried it yet. Except it would be NOTHING like the original. Peggy would be a feminist and Bud would be trans or something.
It would be cool to put this back on but the way the world is now they couldn't get away with alot of the jokes that made it so great damn I hate the world is so serious now nobody can take jokes now
Bad writing? Au contraire. This show had some of the wittiest sarcastic humor on television. The quality did drop off in its last couple of seasons, though.
It stayed funny well past the life span of most shows, but yes the last couple seasons were not very good... but that's pretty common with most shows... still a classic sitcom that I enjoyed growing up with...
I watched it (we all did) but I'd only laugh now and then. The humor was very, very, cheap and predictable. As a late teen it introduced me to how stupid, ignorant and trite the rest of the world was.
To think David and Christine were the 2nd choice. They replaced the org 2 after 1 episode. They got that right. They were at a loss for Al. A lot auditioned Michael Richards aka Cosmo, Sam Kinison? Even Rosanne Bar for peg. But Ed came in, sat down, put his hand under his belt, sniffed around as if the room smelled and then went oh well, I'll live with it and got the part..lol
@@lancerevell5979Sometimes there's a man... I won't say a hero, 'cause, what's a hero? But sometimes, there's a man. And I'm talkin' about Al Bundy here. Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Bundy, in Chicago.
the story of peggy getting her part is just as cool. She showed up dressed like does in the show because of some other audition and didn't have time to change and they loved it.
She was really something back in the day! Peggy was too, in a way, for a mom age woman. Years later she would voice Leela from Futurama, hell, when I was 25, I had an epic crush on her!!
I used to live in NYC. At a short time I lived in Queens. I used to work as a printer in this small shop around the Coney Island area. I remember my bosses brother recommending me to watch that show going back in the day when it first came out. I didn’t think I would like it. After a couple of episodes I was hooked. 🤣😂🤣 I don’t live in NY anymore. But I have the entire Married With Children episodes on DVD box sets. What a show! It was out there! 👍🏽😂🤣😂
I remember hearing other networks turning down this show and Fox being the only one to take the chance. Good for them. One of the best sitcoms in television history.
What are you rambling on about? Me and my family still watch TV together. And laugh together. As do lots of other families. These ridiculous boomer takes about "back in my day!" are getting out of hand.
My mother was way too much of a prude to watch a show like this. She wanted a happy family, even if it was trite and unbelievable, like with the Cosby Show.
