This is even sadder now because Adrian died . I had the pleasure of meeting him several times over his time in East Lansing and he was a humble , intelligent and great guy. RIP the Adrian and Lacy

She didn't just impact Adreian, or the basketball team. She impacted Michigan State as a whole. I'm a student at MSU, so I was around when this happened. It was a very grim day when it was announced that she passed. Just walking to class that day, you could see other students really were saddened by her passing. Even though 99% of us students never met her, she impacted the university, and more importantly, students lives. We even held a prayer vigil and painted the rock for her when she passed. She wasn't just a spartan fan, she was spartan family

Angels really do come in all shapes and sizes...Lacey and AP have proven that and we have been blessed to have been able to see it with our own eyes. Be at peace, precious little Princess, your journey continues. As your brother guards the court, you are spreading your wings. Your life made a difference and dances in so many hearts -- it will be remembered...you are loved!
I respect adreian so much for who he is he's not just a great player but person what an inspiring story I hope he becomes very successful whatever journey he takes in life he's gone through a lot in life.

Lacey just past away nearly an hour ago. This is truly a sad day for everyone including michigan fans. Being a michigan fan, I have always supported Lacey with payne no matter how much I hate the Spartans. She will forever be in my heart and the Spartans. My prayers are with her and her family

Payne just had a 41 point game and set the MSU record for points in a NCAA tournament game (breaking Greg Kelser's record) and most free throws made in a NCAA tournament game (17) (breaking Magic Johnson's record). Could not happen to a nicer guy.

Some SOB snuck up behind me and started peeling onions as I watched this! Ok, all kidding aside... Mr. Payne is awe-inspiring. I hope that he finds much success in life, and that when he does, his heart and character do not change one bit. I have no idea of his skill set as a basketball player (because I don't follow basketball) but he is a top notch pro at the game of life. Much respect to Adreian Payne and best of wishes for Lacey.

Adreian Payne is a wonderful human being. He will never know how much good he has done to make Lacey's last days of her life filled with joy. What a sad story. We have nothing to complain about when you think of this sweet child and what she and her family have been through. No matter where Adreian goes in life or plans to achieve in life, he has a special gift that he can use to help others in despair. He is truly a gift from God and he should be very proud of how he brought such happiness to Lacy's life.

I'm always the tough one but i cried so much b/c I complain about little stuff and you went through this with a smile on your face and you're 8!!!. This touched me in so many levels. First of all, age makes no difference friendship is friendship no matter what! Second, all illnesses can be fought through with the right mindset you can go all they way. I am a 100% with you two, I wish you happiness in the future.
