This brought tears to my eyes. My nanaji used to drive a maruti 800. He raised me and my brother as a father for 25 years. My own father never really cared. He used to pick is up from school and take us everywhere - toy shopping to picnics. Sadly he passed away on 27 December 2020 due to covid. His car is still parked in the verandah. Rest in power, nanu. I love you
Im very sorry cause i know what it feels like to lose your grandpa my dada also passed on 20 october 2020 but it was natural not cause of covid and he owned a maruti 800 too which is more than 27+ years old When i was a little kid he used to drop me and pick me and my brotger and sisters fron school he used to take all of us kids to park in his car and after his death my dad took his maruti and he restored his maruti again so that he could never die in all of our hearts kyunki yeh car unki aakhri nishani hai... Nishani
Govt will be bringing 15 yr scrap policy. My father's takes pride in his Maruti 800 16 yrs old. I felt his pain when I informed him about the scrappage policy.
@Pawan Khatte I still remember “Zen” was marketed with most vibrant colour “Lime”. There was no other car which would match with lime colour. All the new papers were filled with “Zen”
Even today people are not selling their 800 because of its efficiency with seated 8 passengers inside it😂😂😂 .... This is the only car where normal people and even carpenter can also repair it... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sachin, Maruti 800, Chetak, Hero Cycle and Bajaj Scooter.. these things sums up the emotions of 90s middle class people !! Edit - Included more memories based on comments
I bought my first car a Maruti 800 in 1993 after a waiting time of say over two months. It still proudly competes with much advanced cars later added in the family .It is now pride possession of my daughter ,well maintained and fit. The journey of Maruti 800 is exciting and unending. We love our Maruti 800 !
Maruti 800 and Alto has fulfilled the dreams of many and was the one of most reliable car. Almost everyone has memories in this car regardless of status quo.
My family had a blue maruti 800 from 2007 to 2016. We loved that car. It was family for us. But we needed to upgrade. We still regret not keeping it. It wasn't just a car. It was an emotion.
I loved cars ever since I was 2 and could name every single car on the road by just looking at its design because I didn't know how to read back then. Because of this my parents decided to gather some money and get a car for my third birthday eventhough our financial situation was not as good at that time. That car was the Maruti Suzuki Alto, eventhough I was 3, I still remember the day we went to the showroom to pickup the car and I cut my third birthday cake in that showroom with my parents and the Maruti Suzuki employees. Its a memory that I will never forget and one of the most beautiful moments of my life. That alto was a maroon car and it was an iconic colour at the time. I miss that car so much. We sold the car in 2018 and got a hyundai i20. I still smile when I see an original maroon alto on the road.
We still have Maruti 800 we bought it in 2008 when my sis was born and now both are 13 years old . We just bought a new car but the feeling and love of maruti no one can share 😀😀😀....
Though today we have these so called luxury cars at home, i’ll never forget the comfort of sitting in my maruti’s front seat while my nanu took me out for a spin and bought me sweets and chips. The sleep while laying in the backseat in my mum’s lap was much better than i get in my bed. The cold air blowing through the rolled down windows was better than the ac of the car i own now. The laughter, the memories, the nostalgia, the comfort, the carelessness, it will never come back. ❤️
My family owns a Maruti 800 (2000 model) and this video really brought all the memories back. Truly, it's the best car to travel till date because of its simplicity. Thanks Brut India for bringing this up 😀❤️

Actually if you are car crashes if hit by a bicycle then your car is safer bcz if the car keep stiff after the crash you will suffer from the impact and die ok 👌
