For a show that was intended to be a caricature of the "wholesome, American family" it was actually the closest thing to what a real family should be: loving each other for who they are, and not trying to conform to unrealistic society norms.
This wasn't the first time he voiced Gomez either. He also voiced him the The New Scooby Doo Movies episode Wednesday Is Missing. Though he didn't voice him the first animated series.

I wish in the Wednesday series, we have this version of Pugsley. I don't like where he is weak and bullied. This pugsley is the pugsley I know. Vicious like uncle Fester.
Don't forget, this Pugsley was COWERING in the graveyard! He's still an easy target for bullying, especially from his sister, but when it's just the two of them it's all fun and games in one-on-one torturing... the school bullies, on the other hand, gang up on him, and he's just not ready to hold his own against an army yet.

@@FireFist711 I like the cute Pugsley of the spin-off...actually,he's the _only_ version of Pugsley I ever _really_ got fond of(despite his very little screentime)but I agree...he seems greatly OOC... but,to be fair,he's not the only one.Why would the Addams be ashamed of committing a murder and trying to hide it?Why would Wednesday try to stop a serial killer monster when her _idols_ are serial killers and try to prevent a prophecy about"her"destroying a school _she was trying to run away from?!?_ What sense does it make for her to say:"Of course the 1st boy I kissed would turn out to be a psychotic serial killer monster! ...I guess I have a type. :-P"and right after that _running away from him?!?_ I'm loving the show mostly thanks to Jenna Ortega's beauty and her impeccable performance,but *A LOT* of the scenes and the characters I've seen in S1 were WAY OOC!Also the whole premise of Wednesday being in conflict with her parents doesn't make any sense for an Addams! _The whole point_ of the Addams Family was that they look spooky,violent and creepy from the outside,but they are actually a very healthy and loving and supporting family...UNLIKE THE"NORMAL"ONES that put on a"perfect"face but are actually pretty disfunctional behind the curtains. The characters we're seeing in "Wednesday"are simply *not the Addams!* They're a bunch of very good and attractive COSPLAYERS.
I love how Morticia just revels in how well she can just wrap Gomez around her finger. Or arm in his case. Also, how does Gomez wipe sweat off of his helmet?
I remember watching The Addams Family back in 1992 when I was a kid, it was funny and hilarious. I'm happy that it's still show on RU-vid and Watch Cartoon online so why haven't they released the show onto DVD yet just like the original Addams Family cartoon from the 60's. Because it deserved a comeback after 28 years and would made me happy to watch the whole Addams Family episodes from the 90s.
First watched this as a kid. That "Joust now, heat later" line of Morticia hits differently now 😅 And that Wednesday dance may be one of the inspirations for Jenna Ortega on her show. 💃

You never see any kids cartoons with this level of openly affectionate couples especially to this degree hell we don't even get half of that kids can both laugh and get a little embarrassingly grossed out cuz of the antics but at the same time it's a positive lighthearted thing for some odd reason people are demanding and pushing for more single parent households mainly mothers and that's just sad I know they wanted to relate to the kids at this generation because that seems to be the majority but at the same time you want these people to be Role Models something you can look forward to or the very least be inspired by I know that there are different ways things can happen it may not be that way as you are now because of other people but that shouldn't determine you and what you may do in the future
As far as I know, the original Chas Addams material never really clarified who was the oldest(they didn't even have names back then), but there was some implication was that it was Pugsley(he was the take charge sibling, with Wednesday usually being the follower). 60s TV series has Pugsley being noticeably older than Wednesday(10 vs 6). 70s Scooby Doo crossover and cartoon never actually said who was older I believe, but it was likely supposed to be Pugsley. 90s movies imply Wednesday's the older one, though both actors were the same age(though Wednesday's actress is born earlier in the year). This cartoon has Wednesday as the youngest. The 1999 tv-series has Wednesday be older. The Addams Musical has Wednesday as not only older, but older by almost a decade, as she's bordering on grown up while Pugsley is implied to still be kid(or possibly a manchild?). The new animated movie goes with Wednesday as the older sibling. So essentially, in terms of the elder sibling.... Original work? Unclear, but probably Pugsley. Old Addams shows that predate the 90s movie, Pugsley. Anything after the 90s movie(except the cartoon this clip is from), Wednesday.
I like this version of Wednesday she’s more like the original Wednesday played by Lisa Loring. I prefer Wednesday to be a happy, carefree, quirky goth girl rather than a goth girl hates everybody and everything.
Same here. Best part is she’s voiced Debi Derryberry who I know her as the voice of Maureen Murphy from F is for Family, Jake Tasmanian devil from taz mania and jimmy neutron himself.
