I had to take a break from the cams this week. In all my years of watching, I’ve never had to do that; seeing 26’s cub die, Otis’ absence since July 31 after a long awaited return, 164’s disappearance from the cams. All of this left me really sad, likely combined with other anniversary events in my home life. I will return more consistently in the coming days.

I too have had to take a break from being so involved. The cub death and now the mother and remaining cub being Mia as well as Otis not being seen has upset me. I hope they’re well.
The cub was in the water in the river (ignoring mom who told him to stay on the bank), he got caught in the fast current and was carried away. He was caught by another bear who probably thought he was a beaver. They found remains in the river yesterday, and the wounds were consistent with what was seen on camera. He then floated out to sea returning to the arms of Mother Nature.

Does anyone know of any news regarding 39 and her cubs after tangling with 854 last year??? This has been a constant thought after seeing 854 o after mom and her cubs.
Sad for that little bear. However I do think it is interesting how the "animal lovers" that watch the bear cams never bat an eye or mention a word of concern for the Salmon which are being skinned, tortured, and eaten while still alive all on camera for the pleasure viewing of these "animal lovers." Mother Nature serves a little karma to these murderous creatures and everyone loses their mind with sadness. Pretty backwards if you ask me.
