Perfect timing! I have a casual 3 player group getting into warcry and we found the 2 TAT missions were getting stale. I had gone ahead and started designing some missions of my own to spice it up, specifically for 3 players. These missions you provided look way better and more engaging than what we have in the core book, cant wait to try them out! Thanks!
Just wanted to say thank you for this. I play a lot of 3 player matches with my dad and daughter, this will add so much more fun for us. Also already used it in our weekly Warcry group when we had an odd number of players show up. Great stuff!
Thanks for the battle pack. I have been trying te get my friends to play Warcry but we are with 5 and they didn’t want a three way game. So really chuffed with this and I hope to try them soon.
Thank you for the video! My sister and her boyfriend have asked me to teach them Warcry, so this is awesome for us. I'm going to use a hexagonal battlefield footprint to make deployment easier, but otherwise just use everything else you have cooked up here! This is some great work
@@thesaltyseagames We will be using a simple wooden board cut into a hexagon to try it out first. If they jump into Warcry after the test run I'll get some texture and drybrushing on it, like for traditional wargaming boards.
Well this is cool Dan! So again I want to request wether I could get an editorable Version of those? Because I want to put them into German language for my playgroup.
This is great! I usually play with 3 or 4 players for our casual or narrative games. I tried an old scenario from aos skirmish where you dig for treasure and then carry it until the end of the game. The last one we tried we divided up the board into 12 sections and you got points at the end for the amount of sections we controlled. We did random deployment by rolling a d12😅. I would like to try it again with only deployment from your territory's board edge. I don't know if you ever played the video game moonbreaker. The way that works is you have 3 objective worth 1 point each and kills are worth one point each and if anyone gets 5 points in one round they win the game. After so many turns it goes to sudden death and that lowers to 3. Can't wait to try this. What do you think Dan?
You memtioned you can choose to hide your arcane conduit for a later turn. Im syill new to warcry. When exactly do you designate who is in your three groups? Before setup? After determining mission?
I believe you must divide your warband into battle groups before the mission is determined; in the core rules, the battle groups step is grouped under rules for picking your warband, which is explicitly before the battle plan is generated. For some tournaments I have seen people write down on their army list which fighters go in which groups.
Talking about the "geopolitical" situation on a 3 player Warcry board made me think of Diplomacy. "Yes, I will support your push into Greenskin territory, but only if you agree to vacate the Tzeentch channel"
Thanks for the rules. Tried them out today and had a blast. We were able to do all 3 deployments and 3 of each of the missions and twists. They were well designed and kept us guessing who would win until the end.
Salty, do you mind link to the doc in viewer mode, or exporting to a PDF somewhere? It doesn't seem possible to print the doc normally from published mode
@@thesaltyseagames Me? anything! Looks like you're a Google user, so maybe share the file as public on Drive? BTW I intro'd a new player last night with this, it went really well. They loved the People's Elbow!
Love the deplopyments but not loving that you stuck to the color scheme that poster used since analogues colors for deployments are kinda ass. I'd suggest going for Red/Blue/Yellow/Green like the Core book. Otherwise, great work, my group plays a lot of 3-player games due to it being our social game in a lot of ways.
