Loved hearing the Joy Strings . the music . Thinking of my sister Olive . Major Olive Spratt Harding . Died after a brave fight with brain tumour . Gone but in my heart always . My sister was a lovely Christian lady. Loved her to bits ❤️❤️

Im an OLD MAN 85 But I Remember the JOY STRINGS in Sheffield ind I was Privelaged to Accompany JOY on the train, I was in the Royal Air Force in STANMARE PARK in the Voulentery Band Of FIGHTER COMMAND.Im Now in Denmark and have been Member of SALVATON ARMY BAND VALBY (Copenhagen Korps ) up to a couple of years ago I remember it Well THANKS JOY,(even if you dont remember me )( It may have been in 1953???????) GOD BLESS Michael

All very jovial, but it didn't do the SA any good. The Joystrings were a tiny shiny badge of modernity on a large out-of-date uniform. Anyone attracted to a meeting by the Joystrings had to face the utter boredom of old-fashioned religion, moribund brass band, and songs that were well past their sing-by date!
