Garen is a champ that, no matter how many times I lose games, no matter how badly I might be doing at any point in the game, I am always having a damn good time. He is just so much fun.
@@themiddlechild8952 No flex is a fun mode but I played against soloq grandmasters and challengers. Also most master + flex players are also d2+ in soloq
@@yournemesis192 i've seen chinese challenger garens. its always a threat but as straightforward as his strengths are so are his weaknesses which is why it does fall off in higher elo but doesnt mean its irrelevant :)
That 7:12 Bard skill shot was unreal. Easily my favorite highlight from the vid. I wish my team could get a bard like that. Amazing vid Skooch. I love seeing the jungle antics.
I haven't played him in awhile but I'm interested to see if going tri force into full crit would actually be viable because that was a super fun build before the item rework.
Nah because assassins are squishy and when they fuck up their burst its done. Garen just presses w and spins on you while still one shotting. He is truly amazing
Used to play Garen Jungle before he got tuned for it, and the funniest thing was imagining this random beefcake yelling and bumrushing the enemy. It's an intimidation power move.
I remember once Riot wanted to make Gnar a jungler, and I would love that so much because I'm a JG main, but Gnar is my favorite character to play with, so it would be awesome
@@katiequeen7225 agree, I tried him when he received a specific JG buff, but I found out that his passive healing is not quite enough for JG, you have to kite perfectly, and even then is hard to gank without having rage form near completion

4:25 the reasoning behind akshan ult going through the tower is the fact that the second turret isnt able to be damaged/targeted yet since the first turret is still standing, thus making it go through instead.
I like to play as mordekaiser jungle since his gank is straight up broken an he has a cooler design, and i love smashing people in the ground with his Q

"Nobody understands how much damage Garen does" has been true for years and that's why I've never stopped playing him. He has *never* failed to do good damage while being insanely tanky just from one ability let alone items. People try to tell me Garen isn't good, then I proceed to win every single game I play with him where I'm not hard-countered. And for some reason, people think Teemo counters Garen, even though blinding and slowing Garen doesn't matter and Garen's tankiness has weirdly never changed so even the burstiest burst damage doesn't matter to him the second he hits W. I have literally *never* lost a matchup to Teemo as Garen, I *always* waffelstomp that mushroom dispenser out of his own lane the whole game. Maybe the jungle would be a different story but the last time I saw someone pick Jungle Teemo, someone else dodged the game. (It wasn't me, but it would have been if someone else didn't do it, because that's the only responsible action to take.)

I had a 100% winrate on garen jungle over like 7 or 8 games or something in season 11 building shieldbow and taking ghost, and it was so amazing to finally have agency in my games. If I wanted to climb, I could have continued to abuse him. Instead I chose to suffer and play adc.
He's literally Udyr 2.0. I played it once after seeing a predator youmuus Garen on the last enemy team and wow was it easy. Prowler's, Predator, and Edge of Night make him crazy hard to avoid, and his defensive options synergize very well with his kit. He also has the option to swap into endgame builds and completely shutdown an enemy carry with ult, Mortal Reminder and Anathema's.
This also applies with Viego and Talon jungle he turns INTO you has all of that Lethality and any armor pen items and then can JUMP walls like you can...I mention this because right now I'm actually spamming Talon jungle now while it might not be as CHEESE as Garen jungle it still works..and you can STILL steal objectives...
Fyi if you get a collector from levels 6-10 your ult will kill squishy at 30% hp and tanks around 20% hp. Than at 11 and up they equalize at 15% to both with your ult, tanks go back up to 20% when they have max items. Weird interactions with garden's ult but it's a must buy imo!

Dude, Garen is so strong literally anywhere. Top lane? Full tank + wits end. JG? Brawler build. Support? Evenshroud + CDR = Beyblade Silence Garen. Mid and ADC? Galeforce and Wits End/Deaths Dance
Skooch when Akshan ults it damages towers right? So it shouldnt of killed ahri. But, 2nd tower isnt damage-able until first tower is down, so the bullets just pass through.
