Stories like this on Justice Court have taught me to separate money and friendship. I refused a friend a loan recently. He was pissed but I felt at peace with myself.

I have a best friend that I can always run to for any form of assistance and vice versa. I needed a car urgently worth 2.6m and I had only 1.8m and I ran to him for the bal promise to pay him all before dec at 100k per month. Oboi,I wont trade my friend trust and love for me for anything on earth not even money. I kept strictly on that terms from March not until Nov,I cudnt pay that month. I was so ashamed for myself, n I begged like a baby to him to pls forgive me on that.but I cudnt sleep oo becus of shame,ending of dec I forwarded both Nov and dec money to him with an additional 50k with alot of praises and appreciation to him.i wonder how people sleep for betraying friends kwning how difficult it is to find good ones. I can never ever ever allow money come btw me and best friend.Godbless that boy

Why does She keep saying he didn't ask me, he didn't ask me? You owe somebody, you have to wait till they ask you first before you pay? This is the attitude that turns good people into demons. May God help us to keep being good and kind irrespective of other people's evil heart.

He’s a kind hearted man. She took advantage of his kindness. She gave that whole story knowing she owes him. Even when she was owing him he still tried to assist her as best as he could.

Kai, I learnt that friendship and business doesn’t mix well.

I always following this justice court, and I learned a lot of lessons from them, number 1 lessons is that My business is business,no brother,no sister,no friends,In my business, business is business, Secondly I don't borrow people money that I can't forgive, And also, any business am into with anybody, everything must be in writing agreement, thank you justice court,we learned from you every day

She took u for granted and that's the more reason why u don't hv to borrow money that u can't endure or forfit to a close friend.. Apply common sense cox people take kindness for granted this days

Lesson Number 1 : Do not borrow money to friends. It would only ruin your relationship if they eventually don't pay back, and 80% of time they don't.

Considering how i have lost friendships because of money and business issues, i prefer to do business with strangers than with friends. The later will sometimes use friendship to buy more time instead of honouring deadlines in signed contacts/agreements.

I have found myself in this kind of situation as well. I gave a man that I used to regard has a brother on my street, an electrician. He told me he needed help that his son is a professional footballer and he wanted to get into an academy in Ukraine and I transferred 150k to him. He eventually came back after a while that his son could not make it, but my 150k is on missed call till date. I learnt the hard way. From that day I only borrow any amount I could part with or give away. No Brother, Sister or friendship in business.

Nawa oo, I Don borrow tire to ask back dey fear me. You dey wait for person to call and remind you before you pay back. See entitlement

My friend borrowed £1000 from me and refused to pay it back. I saw him on Facebook with his family in Morocco and Portugal on holiday I said yo!!! Bro what's up with the money I got upset to date he has not paid. Friendship ruined but fuck him.

This is a similar issue I have with a friend, he ran to me for 500k last year June, but I told him I can give him 250k just to run a business. But up until now, I am still struggling to get my money in full. Before giving him, he promised he will pay in a month time, and paid 100k after 3 months. Till today, the guy is still claiming things are not as supposed that he will pay😭😭😭 I don’t know what to do, as I am not in the country anymore.

I dont think Nigerians dont know these things about agreement but we always act out of sentiments, even your friend will go and tell everyone "Haha can you imagine because of my situation my best friend is bringing paper for me to sign." My own sister did it to me. I helped her to come to the US, in preparation, herself & hubby needed a lot of money, they dint have a dime, She wanted to sell her land to raise money. We advertised the land everywhere, no one bought. I then I said okay I will buy the land. I asked my brother to draw up agreement and let her sign since both of them are at home. No agreement was drawn up. I didnt like it but my brother (elder) pressured me not to worry that she will give me the land that after all he is a witness. I gave her the money, she and hubby moved over to the Us stayed in my house 3 years. She didnt pay me a dime told me she didnt take any money from me. Today she 's building on the land, telling everyone I wanted to con her out of her land. Do you take your sibling to court? I blame myself and I've even forgotten about the matter but this case reminds me of it. Things like this are so painful. Now I dont loan anyone any money, whatever I have I give you. If I can't lose it I dont give it. Shikena!

Have watched and learnt alot. I don't borrow money to any body, if I borrow someone money is must come with a guarantor and a writing agreement. This life you have to focus more on your finances, because that's all you need to be relevant

Some friends are making things difficult, when it comes to lending them money, forget that they are blocking others who are ready to pay back there loan. I have my experience from 2017 till date though he had paid like 75%.. You are thinking of assisting them but they have there own plan. My mum will say don't lend someone things, you can not let go.....

Always define your business deals with people by putting it down in a paper. Also, avoid lending what you can't forfeit to friends & relations if they fail to pay back.

I have a friend who was involved in a similar situation and after receiving a lot of runaround, he said anybody wanting to borrow money from him next time, he will introduce them to the bank. This is why people will borrow from a friend and refuse to repay, but you can't do that with the bank.

Was it that Austine came back to his senses to ask for his money when he realized that his friend has left his wife ? There are so many questions to be ask.
