Hey Miklos in the capital of my country in Europe you can see groups of 3-4 JW's standing in central locations handing out booklets to people who pass by who are interested most days of the week. One of them is called 'what can the bible teach us?' one of its claims is that the spirit brought forth by the medium in the story of King Saul was not Samuel but really a demon pretending to be him. I have no idea where or how the JW's came up with that claim... Maybe you or somebody else reading my comment can shed some light on this. At any rate I would add that no matter what you think of the big three religions and co. it seems to me that the 'Lord of Light' from Game of Thrones is the most accurate reflection of the god we have here on this earth. It's an evil god that rewards bad and horrific acts. It's a god that ignores genocides.... it's a god that created animals that kill and eat each other.
I don’t know about Samuel the alleged fake demon prophet. Hadn’t heard about that. Maybe it has to do with Samuel supposed to be a venerated figure, yet he made some mistakes, so the JW’s are trying to cover for those mistakes. I don’t know if it’s worth pursuing. It’s like the JW’s saying Jesus would appear and when he doesn’t, they claim oh yes, he did appear, but invisibly. How do you argue with that? I usually tell them that there are no real mediums and go into my experiences with current day mediums and how they are all con artists with well-practiced techniques. Yeah, if God exists, he does not make good sense. A very mixed entity. No decent human being would create an animal kingdom red in tooth and claw.
@@2994485 it seems I needed to read farther a while ago. The JW book that I mentioned cites the book of Acts 16:16 as the source of their claim; "And it came to pass as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed by a spirit of divination met us. She had brought her masters much gain by soothsaying. followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her. When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities." So, I don't know what to make of this. they are ignoring the fact that the spirit in the story of King Saul was *right* about his impending death. In other words they just deduce that anyone who demonstrates this ability is possessed. And even if it is the case, that *true* information could be found with a medium, why should we care about the source of it? But again, the JW's merely assert that all previous communication with the dead in the bible was done under possession. Not enough evidence for that claim if you ask me. Anyway, I see you got a newer video with a title 'when is Jesus coming back' or something like it. Sounds like a good video to watch/listen, I will get to it by the end of the day. I bet it probably has to do with the 14 generation thing...I wonder what that video has in store for me 🙂👍
