The Kabbalah of Dreams 

I started studying dream interpretation 35 years ago. Two things stuck out in this presentation, and I paraphrase them: 1) "Before we interpret your dreams, let's figure out what you're doing in your waking life." Loved the practicality of this from his first teacher. I've learned to get insights from dreams to enhance understanding of deeper truths and enjoy greater emotional freedom in daily life. They come wrapped in metaphor and symbols unique to the dreamer and can show you what you've been avoiding, ignoring, or answer questions you carry in your human heart. To me, the important thing to remember is dreams are you processing deeper truths that your human ego-intellect may not yet be ready to take on directly. 2) "You water it. You nurture it. Then you let it grow." This is sage advice for all new ideas, understandings, and illuminations. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and point of view!

Insightful of dreams and subconscious great insight

I had a dream about a three-eyed Raven. I'm an artist; a realistic representational oil painter with a prophetic moralistic narrative; not the looking to the future kind, but one that plucks up, breaks down, overthrows and destroys, then builds and plants, like Jeremiah. Jeremiah's message tended to be an unwelcome truth. In the dream I was standing in my kitchen ( a creative place ) on a bright sunny day with the french doors open to the backyard. I could see a walled, raised garden bed to the right and I could hear the water running in a tiled fountain just outside. Suddenly I heard a loud squawk and turned to see an enormous, 3-eyed black raven, maybe 4 feet tall, standing on the garden wall and literally screaming his squawk, a terrible warning, an alarm to announce the presence of something that was out of sight and to the left. It suddenly fell very quiet and I heard a deep, rumbling growl. The Raven squawked again, almost pointing to what I couldn't see. When I stuck my head out the doors to see what the Raven was so disturbed by, I was startled to find a dragon-like crocodile, maybe 20 feet long. I woke up. The whole thing was probably 15 seconds long. Later, I felt God gave me the interpretation: I needed to realize how important my message was and I needed to give myself permission to send out the warning which might be the alarm that causes people to wake up. Was super-conscience? Thanks so much.

Great and profound explanation about how we can have access to upper worlds @Rabbisimonjacobson. Question is how can we clean up those pipes? I presume serving Hashem in the best possible way is a good way to start and also been open and prepared with humbleness. Now what about prophetic dreams? I'm scared because of a dream i have; decrees being executed. It is happening right now and I don't know if the prophesy is complete or if I have to hang up tight and wait for another blow. It conforts me knowing The Creator is blessing me with the message so I have to humbleling accepting it as something that comes from Him which somehow brings some relief.

Symbolic, nonsense, astral traveling, warnings, scary and some give a message/opinion. There is a culture that insists the kids upon waking are in outages to their dreams. Than you sir. 👏🏿

I believe dreams are tears of the mind.. tears are a release and a relief valve for our conscious and our emotions and dreams are a release and relief valve of our conscious & superconscious..

A juxtaposition on the compartmentalized experience analogy vs shattered vessel analogy from the dealing with loss series might be more elucidating on the subject of PTS. As in traumatic enlightenment vs chemical enlightenment or even chemical coping (current issue: “guilt pill”) or does pulling the flower out of the ground cover that as well?

How do you train yourself to remember your dreams?

You got the discovery of LSD story so wrong so not sure I trust your breakdown of the psychological mechanisms or the subtle anatomy. Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this discussion though.

I had a dream, I was in a prison with a priest and there are other people with us. The priest hand me down a bible and told me to read it so God can save us from our sins, but I don't know how I sinned (I don't know how I even got into prison), so I opened up the book but the priest turned off the light and I saw lights coming out from that book. There are hidden messages but it was written in Hebrew language, so I can't read it and it is only visible in the dark. Then the priest turned the lights back on, so I asked him, "Did you see the lights?" but he said "What lights?" Then we got interrupted by these monsters, and these monsters started devouring humans. Then the priest started praying to God to let them out of the prison and I was busy looking for the way out. I touch the wall and for some reason, it created a door, then great light came out from it, so I told everyone to exit on that door. Then we all escaped. Then I asked the priest, "Did you see that?" but the priest said, "See what?" Then I wondered to myself... what is wrong with this priest? Then the priest led the way until we come into a two-way path, I was going to go left but he already turned to the right so I just followed them on the right path then we saw two guards guarding the main entrance, and the people who is with us decided to kill the two guards. Then their boss found out about their death and pursued us. We came to a fenced area and it was a dead end. Then this gluttonous beasty man furiously demand to dual him within an hour, or else we would all die. Then the priest started praying again to his God but his God doesn't seem to answer him, so I said to myself... Wow! this God doesn't seem to care. Then the priest cried again, "My God, My God, Why have you forsaken us?" and gave up calling. He found the courage to fight the beast instead. Then I felt pity for him because he is no match, so I worried he might die because of us, and that touched my heart because he was willing to die for me and others. My eyes started to tears and my tears dropped to the ground and all of a sudden I was this consuming fire with big wings like a Phoenix. I was fully armored and my eyes are like lightning and the sky was like a storm, and everybody was just staring at me. Then I flew closer to the priest where there is a barrel of rice behind him. I dip my right hand and pull this spear. The spear is bright silver, very sharp, and has Hebrew engraving in it. The Priest read it from a distance and started calling me, "You are Gabriel! You are Gabriel!" but I was kinda disappointed at him because he was calling me a sinner earlier. Then I went to dual the evil leader but the leader saw who he is up against then run away. He sent all of his spawns to fight me instead, but I only came after the leader. I ended him within 1 or 2 seconds like the speed of light. I stabbed him on his right rib through his heart. After that, the prisoners were freed from their oppressors. Then I was flying in midair to looking down then I look to the sky and the sky opened up for me and I went in. (the end) I also dreamt about the Ark of the Covenant and where it is.

The way I understand it is if we go to sleep and dream without making tshuvah and getting cleansed is the mashritim, evil angels play hacky sack with our souls and don't let it go up to get it's lifeforce from g-d. Then again that we are actually sleeping and one day we will wake up and stop dreaming, then we'll see clearly.
