The Kent State Shootings-the spark that ignited a wildfire of change, and an important stepping stone for student activism and policies in the National Guard. The wildfire sprouted nationwide protests against the national guard’s methods of controlling riots, and finally, the protestors were triumphant, and new codes were enforced to prevent events like these from ever occurring again.
