Rave On was one of my favorite albums by the Headhunters. Mark Orr did a great job on it! I saw them perform at Taylor Co. High School in 1995 and they blew me away! The whole band are some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.
@@jimmyhoffa2530 - people didn’t really accept the new version. But. That just so happens to be my favorite, Rave On is probably my fav album. But, just because they played a high school, please understand, they also played some major shows like Farm Aid to a sold out stadium as well and the tours consisted of arenas, and festivals. But to answer your question, yes, it did hurt them.
@@analog-pedals I remember seiing them in Detroit around...hell..1989-1990 as a kid with my parents and friends and that s**t was crazy huge. I loved the original line up especially the drummer. But to my point I guess its just hard to imagine them going from that concert and then to playing in a High School just 5-6 years later. I mean that concert in Detroit was a spectacle and just insane. The most people I've ever seen in one place.
@@jimmyhoffa2530 - when the Phelps brothers left to form their own band, The Heads lost label support. It’s a shame too, because like I said, this version of the band was solid. Mark Orr is a great singer and Anthony Kenny was part of Itchy Brother in the 70’s (pre Headhunter’s) and a fantastic bass player. But hey, they are still recording and touring to this day with Doug Phelps back in the lineup.
Mark Orr and my Mother had a thing going on for years. My sister and I used to hang with the other band members while they were "hanging out" sadly my mother went missing back in 02'. Last time I seen the band was a few months before she disappeared. He sang this song to her while walking on the beach in Florida.
good ol Kentucky boy here grew up seeing them at all the local events fred is a madman on those drums when he gets goin. watched him go for almost 15min barehanded one time. Best thing to come out of kentucky EVER!!!

The headhunters are this old country boy from Arkansas best band and favorite band! I seen them with Ricky P and all the rest even met them in Little Rock and they are a bunch of good ole boys Deserve RESPECT
You miss them? They didn't go anywhere bro. They just put out an album this past year called Dixie Lullabies. Some of the finest songs they've ever recorded. And they still tour the US nonstop!
Well who's that girl with the sock feet and holy blue jeans The one that dances like a hurricane And shakes it like a washing machine Guess i got to get my courage up and tell her i don't know how to dance But if she can hoochie coochie i can hold her tight We can stand in one spot or go honky tonk walkin all night (Chorus) So lets go honky tonk walkin honky tonk walkin you could be my honky tonk girl so break up the double shuffle its a honky tonk world We'll go wading in the waters of the rhythm and rhymes in this world when I go Honky tonk walkin with my arms around a honky tonk girl Come on sugar baby Well now the party's over and i got no license to drive When she pulls up beside me and says i've got a marvelous ride Yeah she's under my wheels I'm under the spell of her love But if she can hoochie coochie i can hold her tight we can get out on the road and go honky tonk walkin all night (Chorus) So lets go honky tonk walkin honky tonk walkin you could be my honky tonk girl so break up the double shuffle its a honky tonk world We'll go wading in the waters of the rhythm and rhymes in this world when I go Honky tonk walkin with my arms around a honky tonk girl When i go honky tonk walkin with my arms around a honky tonk girl I'm goin now
Soy de Argentina y acá nunca estuvo de moda el Rock Country. Pero a mí siempre me gustó y está banda particularmente... Dios me da hasta ganas de bailar❤️

Nice to see you found your voice willow, and to defend your mom , she would never post something like that about your dad, I would have but it wasn't me, truth be known there were, more then a few who knew the true whole story about . AKA. Thomas Metro Brandon Cash.
Aint it something that a great song by a great band like the Heads has a advertisement by some hoople head like Luke Bryan. I don't know who the hell Luke Bryan is but if 30 seconds of his music tells me anything, I would bet he is real popular on country radio today.
Luke Bryant can't sing just like all the new so called country singer's it's like listing to a pop rock singer's it was a show called the CMA Feast it was like so s rock group jarred Underwood even sang a rock pop.songi It makes me so mad but there is always the classics we can listen too
