This is a good question. The challenge with ambition in this current society is that it has become so infused with narcissism and ego that it's hard to encourage it without it quickly becoming sick and destructive. The challenge is that we all have a very good desire to perform our duties and obligations with excellence. The desire to excel in one's chosen field of service is a good desire. The key is to be honest, curious, and even suspicious of our motivations. A healthy humility that makes me look honestly at my motivations is the first step in making sure my ambition is mature and spiritually healthy. This is where my serious development of gratitude comes in. It makes humility possible, AND it allows me to be soberly honest with myself about my motivations. A good spiritual father helps with this as well. Regular confession allows you to explore the inner life to discover where you need God's grace to heal and make you a mature follower of Christ. Hope this helps.
@@FaithEncouragedTV thank you so much yes this does help motivation makes so much sense especially since God knows what's in the heart so understanding my heart/motivation towards things will help me. My follow up question to your response would be what would be healthy desires and unhealthy desires and if my ambition is rooted in unhealthy desires how can I allow God to change my desires to become healthy ? Thanks again
