That head has a effective range of 75 yards according to their site. The 3° Kiji has a range of 400+ and the 10° over 200. If you want the absolute best civ IR illuminator, it’s not even a comparison.
@@cooperg8307 You may be right but I'd still like to compare the two cuz' I've seen several IR illumination setups and my setup stands out for distance recognition.
would the 10 be better suited as a helmet search light? I use a vampire dual power head on an S&S mount. The lower setting is usually better for close up stuff/umbrella lighting. Thanks
No laser pointer attached would be my guess. Once you light the illuminator up you are no longer passive. However I would use this with an eotech and treat it like a flashlight if I needed to see/shoot something then turn it back off...
