I think it's interesting that after they became "civilized" the killerfolk took on a lot of neotenous traits (smaller teeth, larger eyes, etc). It's like they domesticated themselves

I'm also quite fond of the killer folk their not my favorite but their still out there, the only thing i wish for all tommrows is that we got a more indepth look into the post-humans evolution and society tho i understand that'd take alot more time, good video as always.
Thank you! I agree in that I think it would have been cool to get a more in-depth look at the lives and societies of the species in the book, but I'm also sort of glad that it's quite brief and broad, it means there's tons of room for speculation.
Possible. Probably in their early years of development it would be like that, then they would have progressed to be like the Yautja/Predators, then after that they would have progressed enough to stop killing altogether.
We've lost the need for canine teeth? Ever been in a fight? Never seen a fight akin to a boxing match, usually it's a lot of grappling, rabbit punches, pokes to the eyes, and the occasional need to bite your opponent. I ain't giving up my killin' teeth for anything.
Canine teeth are common here in asia, since dentist here are unaffordable, nobody goes to the dentist so our teeth remains the same, we have our pointy canine teeth.
We lost large canine teeth like that seen in other great apes because we use weapons for combat and hunting. Therefore losing the need for large canines. We are also designed to throw things to inflict damage as well. As well as throw punches.
I have long had a theory regarding the hunting elite of the killer folks, or rather their division into southern northern western and eastern. for example, one elite was masters of cold weapons of knives and daggers, another masters of firearms, another masters of archers and the last would be the toughest since they would be engaged in hand-to-hand combat using only claws teeth physical strength and their long suppressed instincts.
I like to think that the killer folk were a lot more diverse than the book leads on,after all there were other types of predators,who's to say that those predator species didn't also regain sapience? My theory is that the killer folk that is depicted in the books is just the most common type of "ethnic group" for lack of a better term and there were various other predators that also gained sapience and advanced along side them,leading to a cornocopia of different killer folk subspecies each with their own cultures and traditions perhaps based on their hunting strategies,for example one group could be ambush predators,another could be primarily pack based hunters and another could be solitary hunters and the way their ancestors hunted prey could impact the culture of their specific group...
After the Snake People, these are the people I find the most relatable and actually hopeful in All Tomorrows. These guys had their predatory instincts ramped up severely by the Qu and yet STILL managed to civilize themselves. Aaaaand do I have envy of their cool fur coats? Yeah, I do. XD
For me personally it's a tie between the Killer Folk and the Pterosapiens. I think the Killers resonate with me because they fully embrace what they are and what they do - until they naturally evolve beyond it (unlike humans who tend to hide behind masks of righteousness while at the same time supporting wars, engaging in terrorist acts, doxxing people who have a different opinion, etc.) I also like the Pterosapiens because they truly understand how fleeting their lives are and dedicate what little time they have to intellectual pursuits, being some of the greatest philosophers the galaxy has ever seen. I do like every single species in the book though, even the Qu, as they're all extremely interesting in their own ways.

I don't think they would stand much of a chance. The Gravital were on about the same level as the Qu and they wiped out the Killer Folk (along with most of the other future humans).
@@BewareCast well the gravitals only cared about killing biologicals the qu would probably try to keep them alive to genetically modify them which could get the qu in trouble.
I've taken it down for now, I'm afraid. Those videos were getting so few views that they were actually dragging my averages down and hurting the channel. When the channel is bigger I'll re-upload those and carry on with it but I can't really afford to at the moment.
