The Killers performed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California on Thursday February 1st 2018. During the performance a Young Tiny Girl was brought up on stage to play the drums. Watch the video to see how she did!
With all these videos of people playing with them, I’ve always respected that Ronnie doesn’t just leave them to figure it out. He shows the the cues or plays the tambourine to make sure they stay on tempo because they don’t have any ear monitors and can’t quite hear.
The killers played my city at the weekend (Dublin) and they brought a drummer up for reasons Unknown......Ronnie looked out for him throughout the entire song.
Seems to depend on his confidence level? I've seen a couple where the person sitting in is clearly good and Ronnie picks up a guitar instead of sitting along side....
Same with DJing, It is always a bit scary if you are playing at a show that has there own gear, because it's not what you know. Each mixer is different and responds differently harmonically. She killed it
@@normagriffiths9570 "Arts" or "Creative Arts" is the activies through music, dance, movement, drama. Are the fundamentals which are taught in all primary schools. Not ART school.
@@sagrev666 music.. all forms including drums, are taught in schools with Creative Arts programs.. which is almost all primary schools. It's the basic fundamentals taught from grade schools through high school.
She's got MADD SKILLS, and seems very dedicated to the "skins"!!! Stay focused on your musical journey, your gonna definitely make a name for yourself!!! Much love and respect youngster ♡
I can't tell you how many times I've watched this. I was there. She was amazing. And the way we all cheered her on was incredible! Such a special concert moment.
I absolutely love how the artists these days are bringing people up on stage to play and giving them their time in the spotlight. This is so awesome and they will remember this for the rest of their lives!!!
I think they all relate to what Dave said. In an interview he said that as a teenager and young drummer he always had this fantasy that he would go to a concert, something would happen with the drummer and the band would say that they cant do the show unless there;s someone in the audience that knows all their songs and that would be his moment. He said that whenever he brings a fan on stage to play with them he sees that these people have the same dream as they do. so he does it cause it makes the fans and himself very happy to see his fantasy come true through other people. Dave Grohl is just an amazing human
I love the moment when the young lady gets in and first of all blows everyone away. Damn good job young lady, you really have it. I probably wouldn't even have been able to hold the sticks because of my nervousness ;-)
Wow, can you imagine how much practice she has been doing in her life so far to pull this off? I understand her name is Aelena Gilles and it just blows me away at how good she is.
@@sowasvonlustig2977 Oh let me guess, you're probably one of those people who doesn't like it when drummers play rather simple beats:). That's nothing new, because people also talk bullshit on Justin Bieber for playing simple drum patterns. Sorry if it sounds like I'm making assumptions here, but I've seen behavior like this so many times it sort of disgusts me. I choose to judge the quality of a musical performance not so much on the "difficulty level", but rather the emotional response I receive from hearing it.
It seems that more and more great bands are bring young talent on stage to jam. That is just fricken awesome. Show how awesome people they are. She did a outstanding job. Killed it.
@@sophiac674 He let. Lisa Pellegrino was the one who instrumentalised it to an identity politics thing so that the music is no more the primary thing what matters here.
Its super hard to hear whats going on up on the stages. As someone who use to work these big band performances he was there to help with timing if she couldnt hear the q's
Because they're wearing ear monitors and she doesn't have one. He's helping her with the timing because it's exactly what she does need. Appreciate that he is helping her to shine.
Can't describe how amazing this made me feel! I was starstruck ! It was my 1st killers concert and you made my night with your incredible talent! Thanks! All I wonder now is ; how did brandon smell? Lol LA girl♡
(Off from the Click., though always playing catch- up)Fabulous! I have two girls and one grandson , all going to Drum lessons each week ( aged 7 - 11 ), ....Oddly? I am a Piano player! .................and watching youngsters taking the performance level ever higher and higher than us old folk could have ever imagined, is f'king Brilliant, rather than belt ahead she waits for the click to make sure the tempo is right and the Band just follow her! . So Brill. I wish this young lady the very best luck in her career.... Crikes! If my band was 40 yrs younger we would have bitten a couple of our Bass players fingers off to have her in the Band.
God dammit, she just walked behind those drums like she was going into her own garage and ~~Got. The. Job. Done!!! Drummers are the coolest people on the planet.
The way she was being coached by Ronnie tells me that she didn't rehearse with the band at all. She probably sent them a video of herself drumming along to their songs and they felt confident enough to let her drum with them. Ronnie even had to tell her to close the song off. Excellent composure.
This is great, there’s some fantastic young Lady drummers around! Just wish they’d asked Paulina from The Warning up to do the same when they opened for The Killers in Mexico. Would have been spectacular!!!
Curious. How old is she? And what is the time in the video when she starts playing? I'm blind which is why I'm asking--I can only follow the audio. Thanks. And this is super cool!
