The Kills celebrate their ten year anniversary this poignant and playful video for 'The Last Goodbye', taken from their latest album 'Blood Pressures'. Directed by the Oscar nominated actress Samantha Morton, who made her directorial feature debut with the critically acclaimed 'The Unloved', this is her first music video.
Shot in monochrome on crisp, silvery 35mm, the video reflects the beautiful simplicity of the track, with an old-school photo booth providing an intimate backdrop for Mosshart's intense and heart-warming opening performance followed by a series of touching to-camera poses reflecting the musicians' longstanding, spirited friendship.

This is a heartcrushing video. I've never noticed it before but gosh jamie gave the emotion so damn good. A man who only loves himself and a woman who loves that man. She breaks her own heart because although she knows how harmful he is, she can't give up on her love. But then she realizes, it has to be over. God my soul is crushed.

I suspect the man in this scenario is actually unable to love himself, and due to that he is not able to fully be in love; or to love another, like this woman. We cannot love or be in love from a state of lack, from lack we rely on taking that love from others.

Everyone is crying about Carla and Samuel but... What a about rebeka? She loved him since the beggining, helped him to fix his problems with his brother and she gave him a lot of support. I think rebeka could be a nice option for Samuel in season 4, if Samu gets focused on her, ofc... Carla is overvalued

The last goodbye, Composed by Paul Manning. He stood at the door ready to go, my heart sank, 2 hours goes fast. He looked at me, his sad eyes ready as a river to flow. It was no Christmas time for him, yet the snow outside told me it was, but that's all it was to us both. I wrapped his neck warm with his yellow favourite scarf, his presents in a carrier bag at his side held in his little gloved hand. In my heart I knew it was the last goodbye, somehow those cruel had made sure of that. For a moment I turned away from him, they say not to look those you love in the eye, not when you lie to them. "Daddy I will see you again won't I?" his sweet angelic voice yearning for a 'yes'. With the face of a clown, I forced a smile, turning back to him I replied, "why, son don't be silly, of course you will!". That was 8 years ago, and that last lie was the last goodbye to my son who deserved the truth. My last goodbye to Elliott was not what I wanted, but somehow I just hope he understands this, that cherubs are angels after all, and you should never clip their wings by telling them the truth, not if its going to hurt them. +myPAINisSELFchosen85 If you are referring to me and my story about my son Elliott, then all I can say is that there are far too many despicable people around that are only to quick to disbelieve someone when they tell the truth about having a child cut out of their life. It bothers me not one bit, that for some reason, your heart is made of stone, so hard that you deride parents like me, that you judge them so harshly. Perhaps that extreme bitterness comes from something that happened in your own life that made you that terrible way. All I can say is that if you had a child that you loved with all your heart and they were removed from you, either by death or a cheating partner, then you would understand, but people like you never will. You sound to me like someone that would join ISIS, someone that is all to self opinionated and is so very quick to think he knows it all, with not one fact it your disposal. I don't know whether to despise you or feel sorry for you for your lack of compassion, I think I feel sorry for you as I don't find it easy to despise or hate. You know that to love is harder to do than hate is, because any fool can hate its so easy to do, but to LOVE, that takes great effort in a world full of hate. Try to get some help, somehow. Until then I shall pray for you to change and hope that you can do some good for someone rather than the derisory attitude you have towards people that you do not know, such as me. I can't care less that you think I have no son, why should I? I mean its not as though you know me or what I have been through. But there will always be your terrible types around the planet, never feel for others but only for their selfish selves. I feel sorry for you.
