Francine is so OBSESSED with Frank. From this video and the one when Frank broke loose, she just follows him around everywhere and bumps into him! Love is in the air (water).
I salute you for having all these aquariums and for taking good care of these fish. This must take you hours to keep these aquariums clean and crystal clear water.
You outdid yourself with the angel and discus tanks. I love the contrast of colours with the white fish and their deep coloured background and then the red fish with their background. I then love the contrast between the white fish being above the red fish. Both tanks are stunning. I stand by a comment I’ve left before that adding some green in the discus tank would be stunning
I love going back and watching your old videos. The gallery has progressed so much over the years, however the current setup you have looks to be at a more “finished” state. Can’t wait to see what happens with the new building!
your passion for fish and tanks is pretty contagious. Love the way u decorate w awesome ideas for these tanks. i am so excited now to get back in the game again👍🏽
I am in awe of how nicely your tanks are all decorated in such a species specific manner. Your variety of fish is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your room with us.
Ive gone through and watched 90% of your videos already! I will one day have a mini house like this. one day if my partner lets me haha ! 1 tank with Green Terrors is enough for now! Cant wait to start growing the collection again!
Hey big guy, I like your site; just found it. I was fisheries biologist scientist for 30+ years; I never get tired of it. Looking at all your ideas, here is another idea you may not have already considered. When we did a fisheries study we always picked numerous stations. A great place for a typical station was the bend of a river as there are numerous habitat niches. Outside bend w/high current some w/wood over cobble substrate with maybe an island splitting the river. The inside bend w/slower current w/gravel and lots of wood. The tail end of the bend and island with areas of slack current over silt and lower end of island consisting of shifting sand and gravel. An area like this might have over 50 species of fish with many found no other place except for these specific niche type. How about duplicating these habitat strata in each tank w/species found in those areas. This same idea can also be repeated with different river systems or even native fishes here in the good old U.S.A. What goes on at this this station is absolutely dramatic as the spawning season approaches. As the different species spawn the larvae are swept downriver and repopulate lower river stretches. Some don't travel far but some may drift downriver for many many miles. This helps educate the aquarist to more critically analyze an aquarium design to mimic where they actually came from. I also would like to see a video on designing a fish room, lights, ceiling fans furniture etc.; I don't see much on this subject. Just my thoughts. Keep it up. Edlite
Joey, you are an inspiration to me and my family. I was big into the hobby in my teenage years, (I bred Oscars and kept 10+ aquariums at my peak but after that life took over and 20 years later, me, my wife and our five children all watch your videos and we are all getting back into the hobby which I owe to you. 6 Months ago we had 1 tank, now we have 3 tanks, a 100 gallon and 2 46 gallon bow front aquariums and plans for upgrading to something MUCH MUCH LARGER! I really forgot how much I enjoyed just sitting there and watching my fish. It is very peaceful and relaxing, We just picked up a baby silver Arowana to go with 2 baby Oscars in one tank. In another tank we have an Albino Pacu Piranha w/ a turtle and our other tank is a large Red Eared Slider my son has had for many years. We are gonna document their life here on RU-vid and I can't wait to see them grow and how their personalities develop. It has brought me and my family closer together. One last thing. Any advice you can give a new Arowana owner?? Any advice you can give is very much appreciated. Thank you Joey.
I'm super excited you're getting goldfish! I have 5 fancy goldfish, they're my favorite =) I definitely do that thing where I think mine are the best ever, even the super clueless derpy ones. I'd love to see an in-depth video about your filtration room.
The one thing I have to point out man is that you have twice as many tanks as most fish hobbyists I have seen, but yours are so crystal clear as far as water and glass that it is actually insane, especially since every tank has wood or plants in it. Keep it up.
@Hongyi Duan no he didn't lose them he just rearranged them and the height of the tank were making it difficult to maintain them so brought them to ground level...
Just found your channel. Words cannot describe how absolutely incredible your setups and tanks are!!! I have never seen tanks so exquisitely decorated. The combinations of fish, substrate, plants, wood, rocks are like...art.....as if they are as close to a window to nature as you can get. Congratulations....your attention to detail, your taste in assembling and combining is akin to a work of Michelangelo. Your room should be a public exhibit!. My favourite tank is the one not yet fully developed or grown....the Peacock Bass one. When they will be mature, with a few tank mates......it will be a sight to behold! The Arowana tank is just amazing, textbook health and perfectly stocked. You should be an ambassador to the hobby.
on your saltwater tank you need to do coral , but do it from start to finish , with some small fish in there, this will show how to do it correctly, adding additives to water and testing , theres is a lot of people that want to do saltwater coral tank but do not know how , start with easy mushrooms and then do lps/ sps coral .
Truly an absolutely outstanding ambassador for the aquarium community. I hold a lot of respect for his passion and how he gets people excited and inspired about fish.
Running and gunning is your style. THis is your best video in a long time. Malawi over the tang. Angels over the Discus. I love the idea of the most difficult tank over the perceived most easy goldfish. Keep up the good work and Custom Aquariums rock
You are so talented. You sure found your passion, you are in your glee I that room. lol Sweetie. The fish are beautiful and the tanks are amazing. Love the way you've decorated.
Angel Fish and Discus Tank both look sooooo much better than all others. The Angelfish have such a stunning color and gloss and the discus look like fall leaves who came alive.
I absolutely relate to your enthusiasm for aquariums. Glad to know there are others out there too! Can’t believe I missed this video. Been following for years. You’re amazing!!!
Wow that is incredible. I have been here since the beginning of the build. It’s finished!! I know that is an awesome feeling. It looks absolutely stunning.
Currently just got a little 2.5 gallon cherry shrimp tank going with a small filter pump, moss balls and amazon sword on a rock for the newly hatched shrimp to hide in. Learning loads from your videos though and hopefully will create another tank soon that's a bit bigger with some actual fish.
I loved the goldfish tank you had in your basement, would love to see something like that again. Are you going to get some of the goldfish back that you gave to your friend to hold for you?
Susan’s so small here. it’s crazy how much she has grown, The red tail catfish aswell!! Glad to see you’re finally getting those monsters you dreamed of bro great work
ive watched a lot of different youtube videos and no one has shown as much enthusiasm as you do for what they are videoing, my one suggestion would be to have a large shoal of any kind of corydoras catfish, you will love them especially in large numbers keep up the great work
I love the discus tank! I had discus myself, they had babies and everything, so cool! Unfortunately I ended up giving it all away do to lack of time.. The good news however is the fact that they’re right next door since I gave them to my neighbor who also had/has discus and they integrated very well with his, so I still get to see them! 🐠🐠💕
Joey will you show us your kitchen renovation I know this channel is mainly about fish but it’s a lot of diy and I think it would be cool if you took us along for that
Love the Discus tank. Just the background and the "roots" coming down. It looks amazing. Like the Asian tank as well even if it wasn't as active as you would have liked. The rays though, they are my favorite. I'd love to have the room to have a tank big enough for rays.
Hi joey. Shaun here from far far away in new zealand. Loving the series just started watching in the last week and watched them all right back from the aquarium gallery build. Wicked idea, the mrs has no idea what she is in for now hahaha. I have an idea for the angel fish tank. I had some scissor tail raspora with mine and they interacted really cool with each other i love the way their tails move differently. Keep up the good work bro, Shaun.
I was just asking the lfs about scissorstale rasboras. I want a bigger schooling fish for my 5ft and like their fast movement . Now after seeing Joeys Rainbow tank I'm thinking that might be a more striking option - though much more expensive so I'll have to see.
I love the energy u got it's awesome I have ADHD really bad and some days at work well at least a few times a week at work I'm so hyper I just can't stand still and i'm just bouncing off the walls I'm 40 years old and this newer generations of kids growing up just don't have the same hype that we have in life what ever u are doing in life just keep doing it I like all of you're videos and the energy u have makes u one of the few people that are truly amazing about what u do and who cares what others think because no matter what some one will always have something bad to say but just keep doing this Joey u are awesome at it and I look forward to you're videos all the time I'm trying to get my fish room going I only have 2 tanks up and going but I have 8 tanks total I need to get up and going it takes time and u inspired me to keep going in life thank you for the video
Dude I hope people appreciate the skill of what you do. The amount of work that goes into something like this is tremendous and you are my new hobbyist hero. Your natural enthusiasm for the hobby is infectious. I said I’d never keep fish again...but watching this makes want to get back into the hobby. I currently have a tank of axolotls and I have a bearded dragon...waiting on some leopard geckos, and preparing for a ball python. My dream is to have to side by side all three ecosystem types- freshwater, brackish water, and full saltwater. Keep up the good work...I could pick a favorite because they are all so beautiful.
Frank is def my fave fish in all of your tanks in your aquarium, he's just got so much personality! I'm always hoping for an update on him and his little gf
