So this is the inferior KOFAS with only VS mode style, models and moves are carbon copied (Some moves got a bit visual upgraded tho, would be nice on KOFAS), still 3 moves per character with 2 Supers. From the looks of it the Gameplay seems kinda samey too, idk why they'd want to start a new one instead of just going on with KOFAS but maybe the powercreep got so bad they want to reset (BS/SS is one thing but after EX it's pretty clear)
If SNK and Netmarble want to update this game with more characters, they could just bring the cast of KOF Allstar to here, because the two games share assets. They could even include the character skins exclusive to KOF Allstar as alternate costumes. But there is one complication, being that it would (hopefully not) have to become a gacha game to fit all those extra characters and costumes.
I am quite surprised for a mobile game, this have even better graphical presentation in parts compared to SNK's own XIV & XV. I particularly love the visual/special effects & supers, some of it better than XV, in my opinion.
For sure! That's how the special effects of KOF XV should be, without any doubt. By the way, those flame effects from KOF XV seems more like colored water, splashing instead of burning. Didn't like them. If I was to buy some new fighting game from the oldies, would be the new Samurai Shodown. Impressive what it turned out.

I don't think we will ever go back to sprites. Especially with how expensive they are to make. Also this KoF game is a Mobile NFT game so I wouldn't bother playing it.
@@Android-Twenty-One Fair enought. Still wish it was possible to go back to sprites. There's nothing wrong with the way games looked with sprites, there are somethings wrong with how they look in 3D (mostly refering to KoF when i say this).
@@matheuskuester8330 From what I remember, KoF 13 was the most expensive KoF game ever made, especially the sprites. But due too the game not making as much money as the company hoped for. KoF 13 was considered a failure despite the huge praise for the game. Ever since then they never returned to 2D. I personally don't mind the 3D. At least in KoF 15. But KoF 14 was another story.
@@Android-Twenty-One I know that story. No need to make the sprites that detailed though, you could save money making them look like a more polished version of Kof XI and it would look great. I know it's probably not gonna happen, but i can dream. Nothing wrong with the way they used to look.
From the sound of things, mainline games have been using techniques deemed both the most cost-efficient and the most popular among general audiences. To appeal to as many consumers possible, they’ve been catering to multiple demos and not just fighter fans. Which may not be that hard considering King of Fighters uses mechanics that emphasize speed and maneuverability while Street Fighter and Tekken focus on technique and nuance. Their greatest hurdle continues to be how inexplicably unheard of to the media and the general public they’ve become compared to other franchises. I’ve kinda assumed they simply don’t have the necessary revenue to fund their advertising departments, especially those West of Japan…
