This one was one of the best KOF... wish they did a sequel to this with the same artwork and style. When they came out with KOF XII, they totally redid everything!

Mostly everything, aside from the in-game cutscene art style, which was done by Nona, who was responsible for the in-game cutscene art in KOFXI, and older games like KOF 2001 to KOF 2003.

@@VixXstazosJOB I know KOFXIII is the best KOF. But I dont like the inconsistency.... KOFXII was not like it was supposed to be... then after KOFXIII with KOF 14 and 15.... they transformed to 3-D instead of 2-D.... They need to stick with 2-D because 3-D does not suit KOF!

This is imo the hardest of the "Classic Sprites" 2D KOF games. Not only the BOSS is a huge broken bastard, but the stages actually get harder the better you play.

Wait does the arcade version have a different translation from the PS2 version? Some of the dialogue in the Ash team ending is different from the console's

Funny how this the Only Ash Saga kof game not available on modern consoles They rerelease 2003 and XIII (XII do not count, it is basically a prototype to XIII)

@@Lupo32 Malin hates how Yuri called her fighting style "cowardly" due to her use of weapons. Meanwhile, many other fighters (e.g., Yamazaki, Billy, Chang, Choi) have used weapons in the previous tournaments, so why single Malin out?

Cause she abuses knives and that's the coward part. Yamazaki just has one as an ultimate dirty hidden resource ( whereas Malin has many ) while the others are still perfectly valid weapons that fit inside martial arts disciplines ( yes, even a heavy iron ball and claws. Malin goes to fights to throw knives. It's almost the equivalent of man brings guns to a fist fight, which is coward. So i can see Yuri's point.
