What happens when you put a 702 horsepower supercharged 6.2L V8 into a truck? You get the RAM 1500 TRX. The most extreme and epic production truck ever made. It's not technically a Hellcat engine in the TRX. Hellcat is reserved for Dodge only. RAM is not dodge!

@@PimpSolja49 um the TRX engine is a Hellcat engine. And RAM is definitely part of Dodge. RAM is the name that Dodge gives its pickups just like Ford's trucks are called the F150 and Chevy's trucks are called the Silverado and GMC's trucks are called the Sierra

@@anaswarjayakumar852 Dodge and Ram are two different companies! People are just used to saying "Dodge Ram". They split years ago. Google it! Dodge has nothing to do with Ram anymore. Dodge focuses on cars and Ram focuses on trucks all under Fiat Chrysler.

You gave a great sense of the essence of TRX and what it is like to live it. Great to compare it objectively to the 1500. I was interested in comparing the 1500 Limited with the TRX. The daily driver 1500 with air suspension is enough to get by. TRX has an interesting personality and you've portrayed it very well. If you had to have one vehicle that can be a pick up truck, a challenger hellcat, a camper, a very spacious luxury vehicle all in one, you would need to have several vehicles... Isn't that TRX amazing?!

Personally, my favorite product that is being offered from the Chrysler Group (or whatever they're called now). Still would buy a 2nd Gen Raptor over it (hoping that the V8 Raptor and TRX force them to drop), but damn do I like it!

I think the colder air helped your 0-60 times...cold air is more dense, and the compressor on the Hellcat engine is tuned extraordinarily well from the factory.

I personally like the TRX, however I wish it wasn't always in 4WR. It should be in 2WD until you actually need 4WD. And 1 last thing, I wish Chrysler,Jeep, Dodge and Ram would develop a transmission that had more gears. I know they have a 9 speed transmission, however its horrible with driving within town. They should consider adding a 10speed transmission.

Horsepower is cool but in trucks isn’t it about the torque? This thing can barely tow more than a Ford ranger.

This thing wasn't built for towing. Suspension isn't ideal for that. It also makes a serious amount of torque for what was designed to do!

@@EddieX that’s a good point. It’s kind of in its own weird class. Owning a gt350 never quite saw the appeal to the hellcat motor. Never driven one though and something tells me that this truck would smoke my gt350. For trucks I’ll stick with my f250 tremor for now. Not much of a Baja or dunes 8mpg gas truck kind of person. But then again who asked lol

@@EddieX Bigger payload, more towing capacity, better suspension, available 37-inch tires, better angle of departure, more ground clearance. I could go on but you get my drift. FCA slaps the Hellcat engine under the hood of practically every vehicle they make but life and vehicles are about more than sheer HP. When the Raptor R drops next year with the 762 HP Predator engine, the TRX won't even have the distinction of having more HP...

@@EddieX you say the TRX is "more capable". Only if you are looking at HP. I have a '20 Raptor and I'm confident that it would go toe to toe(or even exceed) the TRX in many categories, with the exception of straight line acceleration and interior quality. The real killer is the MPG's....I daily my Raptor and get ~15mpg average in the winter, ~17.5 in the spring/summer/fall. Don't get me wrong, I think the TRX is awesome and I truly considered buying one, but after comparing, I decided to pass. Usually I agree with your reviews and we have similar tastes in cars (I've had 2 GT350's, one of which was an R), but this review comes off a bit fanboyish and you seem infatuated by the Hellcat. Simply put the Raptor is the best overall option for a badass truck that you can truly daily (unless you drive 5 miles to work or own a gas station). Keep up the great content.
